Proviron as SERM
I'm on my first cycle and a little worried about gyno and which SERM to run.
I'm doing the cycle for novices recommended in one of the stickies at the Steroid Cycles forum: Test E and Dianabol. It also includes Anastrozol/Arimidex to fight aromatization but my dealer couldn't get me any, recommended I ordered Proviron instead and so I did.
The problem is I've read different opinions on Proviron used as a SERM during the cycle and they range from considering it an effective alternative because it competes with the strogen being formed to those who think it actually worsens the scenario because it rises strogen count instead.
What do you guys think?
Also, I intended to start taking my SERM after week 4 but my nipples are getting swollen and I'm kind of freaking out. Do swollen nipples always equal a gyno in progress or is it a benign side effect? Should I start my SERM sooner than week 5?

25mg proviron ed, and the just nolva as pct
what do u think about a test prop 100mg eod, 40 mg turinabol ed, 25mg of proviron, and nolva as pct
I'm not sure if I would recommend Proviron as the only SERM during the cycle. I know I said it does have a SERM effect, but everyone seems to agree that Arimidex (Anastrozole) is the safest. It's a little expensive and hard to find sometimes, but worth it in my opinion.
Nolva as PCT is what everyone else is using so it must be ok. I think the dosage is:
Weeks 1-2: 40mg ED
Weeks 3-4: 20mg ED
Hey guys, thanks everyone for your replies.
As I foresaw, everyone seems to have a different opinion on the use of Proviron as SERM and I keep reading different things online, some of them supporting this use.
I was finally able to get some Arimidex/Anastrozole, my puffy nipples already fixed thanks to Proviron and now I'm using both (Arimidex and Proviron) at the same time.
I've tried to discontinue Proviron while on Adex, but I've found that two symptoms associated with estrogen surge come back if I do: I get sleepy all the time and my nipples react weirdly (not puffy or gynecomastey, but the central part of the nipple gets very "excited" like when it's cold). So I'm back on Proviron.
I guess you could say that they both work differently and synergetically.
I, personally, use proviron ON CYCLE for libido and hardening but wouldn't fully trust it as a SERM/AI/PCT... too mild
Of course if ur NOT prone and still a novice you may see it as "working" and get lulled into a false sense of safety.
my.02 Proviron is the BOMB, but get some adex
I take Proviron for the other benefits (better utilization of test, libido). Even 1 a day makes a difference for me. 2 or more per day make a significant difference but they get expensive quickly.
I have never experienced the animal-like raging libido like Proviron gives me on Test alone.
Proviron is perfect for puffy nips. I also use it during any cycle. Its very effective for controling bloat and estro.
Sounds like the early stages of gyno. If the proviron cleared it up then you're good. What do you have for your actual PCT? Don't wanna run proviron for that. I just got some formastanozol and in two days it has reduced the puffiness I've had on my nipples for months. Stuff is legit!
For my actual PCT I got some Nolva/Tamoxifen so I'm covered. That was easier to find than the Anastrozole/Arimidex I expect to receive this week.
What kind of dose of dbol are you taking. For me dbol at high doses gives me swelling in the nipples. Your probably just getting paranoid, I don't believe proviron is used to lower progesterone. That's what plays hell with the nipples.
It's my first cycle and I'm taking 30mg per day. I don't think that's a high dose since I've heard of guys taking 50 and 60.
I proposed the idea of Proviron as estrogen blocker because that's the use my provided recommended I gave it and in fact, there's a lot of discussion about it on forums both in favor and against it.
I just started taking Proviron yesterday at 25mg per day and IT WORKS!! Puffiness around nipples is gone (in just one day. I don't think that was gyno, just swelling), water retention and high blood pressure are down...
So, I'm gonna say that even though Proviron is not an estrogen blocker, for minor discomfort it seems to work or at least it does in my case.
