EBC SPRING 2013 RECOMP!
This might be my favorite because it's a recomp and its the quickest way to actually look bigger and better and maybe lose weight! Goal here is pretty simple, get bigger in the right places and smaller in the wrong places, that's recomp...moving around weight essentially. 2 inches wider at the shoulders, popped the lats and dropped 2 belt sizes with bigger legs, you have a nice chance of placing.
While it will not be a rule, you will do yourself a big favor to use the same background and lighting in before and after poses. Judges can dock you points if its hard to get good read on the differences.
DO NOT PM ME asking for special considerations as to entry times close deadlines etc. We all have problems and the rules are very simple with plenty of warning. You make the cut or you don't we're all grown ups! Pic requests are specific and simple, get them right or you don't play.
All contestants will be judged by a judges panel and all prizes will be coordinated and awarded by an outside panel no affiliated with Eroids or Eroids members including staff, managment or owner. Distribution is then the sole responsibility of the source sponsor directly to participant.

I think y'all forget this contest got bigger starting with the last one. And he and I ran it together. 2 people ran it now its just Tread.
I don't think anyone here but Goth Tread and Myself know how much work it took to run this event. Pandering for donations is a chore. The only easy part was watching u guys grow. Finding adequate judges is a chore. Scoring every single competitor is a nightmare for tread alone. But he has to wait for his judges to score. And that's a bitch cuz u want them to be quick and maybe their not. It's hard to be completely unbiased and score each individual fairly.
Dude the perfect person to run this event should have no job/career/business, no family, no significant other, no gym time, no hobbies and no life overall.
Basically the perfect person would be a complete and total fucking lowlife loser who ain't worth a fuck and is a waste of flesh.

It has been 16 weeks since this competition was started and 18+ weeks since it was announced. You can see where the natives might get a little restless.

Treads a very busy man. Dude runs his own business and is the manpower for his business. Dude travels all the time. Has a blessed life right now. He deserves to enjoy it. Regardless of his real life that nooka is almost done with this thing. Winners are nearly chosen. Prizes will be awarded and winners will get their bags of loot.
This is a huge chore to do by yourself. He did this thing justice bro whether u agree or anyone else. I know personally how hard this man works in his real life and I know he's trying his best with what he's got. Lets give him his space to make sure his judges got it right.

Volunteer or paid shouldn't make a difference. If you accept a responsibility you should perform the task to the best of your ability.

When I go to the gym and I see a very small man or a very overweight man working their ass off, I see courage and determination because they are there working despite all the ridicule they get from the meatheads and the young "pros". angusThank you for your .02. My fucking sister spent 20 years doing just that, had a heart attack at 38 and transformed her life. She went from 265 pounds to 140 in 2 years. You think she wants or needs your fucking sympathy? Absolute not! You don't know fat people's story. But you can believe that if they're in the gym they Don't want to be fat! Don't think for a second they are lesser of a person than you cause they're fat. It takes far more work and dedication to go from being 3,4 or even 500 pounds to 200 than it does to go from 210 to 200.
I'm not an advocate for fat people, it is their conscience choice to be fat and that's ridiculous, but I have tons of respect for someone that wants to reverse that and withstands the taunting of gym rats.

Sometimes people need a little reminder or a push in the right direction. 13-14 months ago I was 240 and 40ish % bf so I know both sides of the story very well. I do respect people that have always had their headon tight and dedicated to fitness but I think your are underestimating how hard it is to to turn your life around from that point, almost the point of no return. Whatever a persons motivation is let it be THEIR motivation, don't fault them for it. And you should always respect someone who decides they are gonna make a change and sticks with it, regardless of I'd they start on New Years, Easter, their birthday, or just one day they wake up and decide enough is enough

Cuz if it were that simple they could do away with prizes and do it for honor and there would be less importance on being as absolutely fair as possible. Shit the EBC would always be on time and always finish on time and winners declared on time.
It is important to get it right cuz there is thousands and thousand and thousand of dollars of gear on the line. The competitors deserve things done right and to some degree fast.
Tread ain't worried about updates bro. Or if fools walk away and never compete again. Thats the last thing on his mind. Cuz bottom line a winner will be chosen and that winner is gunna have racks and racks and racks of gear showing up to his doorstep. And when the pix roll in members will see that the winners of the EBC got paid handsomely with gear for their hard ass work. And when the next EBC starts up those same members will want to win racks and stacks and racks of free gear.

angusPerhaps you're right my friend, maybe they're chasing the gear. That makes me a little sad to think that, as I'm a bit of a believer of bettering yourself and whatever motivates you is good. I I is that for myself, I really could care less about the gear. I've glanced at the donor list but I've never really spent time looking at it. Thank you to all the donors but it's not why I did the EBC. I have my next 2 cycles plus my bridges in pocket, I don't need the gear. For me it got me out of my funk. Been lifting for 13 years every day and I ended jp in a rut. The EBC got me going in the right direction and now I have new goals and newfound excitement for my work. I guess I thought it was the same for a lot of ppl. Money buys gear but money can't buy success.

I've seen the best of what the EBC can do for a person. HPG the last winner picked herself up from certain things in her life and never let it stop her from accomplishing her goals. She's since used the momentum the EBC gave her to accomplish things we only dream of. PRO CARD! Shes a true warrior. Her real story is fucking awe inspiring brother. Pat aka Gfit aka Mr EBC. That dude is a whole new man. Dude looks like my second cousin Paco with his Latino tan now. Going for the NPC. Inspiring! Point being I believe in the best of things. Always have and always will.
But I also am a student of human nature. The human element in all of us is where were succumb to the traps of greed and competition. It takes this element to achieve greatness. U think all the mr Olympia's didn't cut throats to get where they're at? They sure the fuck did. And to some degree that competitive streak in all of us comes out in events like this.
I know what beast meant. He wasn't ridiculing anyone. He just isn't as eloquent and diplomatic as we want him to be but I see his point. To let a delay in the EBC keep you from chasing your goals doesn't make sense. If you want to change your life for the better you'll do simply that. Change. Starting today.
I have to disagree about everyone just wanting free gear. Im sure that is the motivating factor for a few but not all and for sure not me.
I entered this for the competitive nature. Competition brings out the best in a lot of people and I am one of them. When sometthing is on the line whether it be money, product, a title or just good ole bragging rights, people up there game.
I didnt think I had a chance in hell at this when I enterred but I busted my ass and surprised the hell outa myself and a few others. The kudos I got from other members is payment enough. If I were to place and get some free gear yeah I would be happier than a pig in shit but Ive got enough gear to last me years so that is besides the point.
I think the frustrations are coming out simply because The people who run and contribute to the EBC put a lot into it and take it seriously and the people who participated in it also put a lot into it and took it seriously.
