Good Morning guys,
Yesterday, for the first time ever I did a tricep injection and today I woke up with extreme arm pain. Usually i rotate my sites from delts, glutes, quads. Ive never done triceps before but I wanted to throw a new site into the mix. But seriously, I cannot even straiten my arm. The pain is about a 8 of 10. Has anyone else experienced this with this site? Is it because its a virgin site and I have never used it before?

I would advise that you do not rub or massage the area it will disperse the oil into the fatty tissues and out of the muscle if you do. Also I have had the happen when I started pinning my triceps, it wasn't infected just virgin territory. Start with less oil in new areas 1/2 cc it will prepare the muscle better and you will not have such pain.

It looks like I injected synthol. My right tricep is huge because its infected. I hope the medicine works
OK guys, its def. infected, the site is red, hot to the touch, and painful. Today i took some amoxicillin (spelling) Im taking a few days off from the gym. I dont know how it got infected. I clean the site very well before and after the shot.
AnonYou might need something stronger than amoxicillin. I was prescribed cephalexin for an infection and it was gone in like 4 days. Like i said before go see a doc
im with withdrawl on this..ive always got injecting into virgin muscle and often takes several shots before the pain subsides.. if u dont get pain from your usual sites than its not the gear but virgin muscle.. to help get rid of the pain, deeply massage and hold a heating pad to it, should help some anyway
WithdrawlIt's a little early to be infected in my opinion. I'd say it's a virgin muscle thing. I also believe some muscles are more sensitive than others. No scientific fact to base that on, just my experience. I find that on my body, big muscles that aren't constantly in use like glutes and lats are not very sensitive. But muscles I use frequently throughout the day like bis, tric, delts, and traps are more sensitive to injections. Your tricep might not be ready for the concentration of gear you shot.
AnonSee a doc just in case. If it is an infection you do NOT want to wait to see of it is trust me! Better safe than sorry. Triceps are hard as hell to pin for me.
For smaller muscles especially being a virgin one I wouldn't have done a full cc I would have done .5 cc to begin with
although I did go in at an angle and didnt use the entire 1" pin
Ive always had some pain with a virgin. Gives lats a shot, they were relatively painless the first time I hit them.
What compound are you pinning?
samick94I pin with a 25g 5/8" needle and it is fine. even my first time with winny in water no pain
What size pins did you use? I find tris to be a great spot, but need a thin needle (I use 27g 1/2").
that may explain it, i used a 25g 1". Im injected deca 250 (1cc)
Shouldn't be a deal breaker, probably just virgin muscle mate. Get yourself some 27's for any future tri or bi attempts, that way life should be easier.
Tried pec injections? Might suit you?
