+ 4 CNS Fatigue
An important aspect most of us have forgotten. Muscles can recover faster and can be trained frequently but there is a huge difference between muscle and CNS recovery. CNS fatigue/recovery can be dependent on:
Rest intervals (got to know what is the optimum interval time for you)
Psychological factors (depression, mood, stress etc)
Metabolism
Used to happen with me frequently until i figured out it was my CNS being burnt out. A huge impact of it is that adrenal system gets affected and the worst scenario when immune system goes down dramatically.
CNS is much more evolved and important than hormonal system in my opinion.
Now what should you do to get energized and give your absolute best each workout.
Here is the real deal:
REST
Rest is not only important to let your muscles recover but most importantly to let your CNS recover and replenish energy stores. Get mental peace and relaxation. Yoga and Meditation helps a lot. You gotta make sure that you sleep sound and let your mind relax. Taking some time off from gym at least a week or two every 6 months can be extremely beneficial

I have also wondered about using ephedrine and how it can effect your CNS. Im not trying to preach to anyone, but rather work this out in my own head by writing it out. So what I know about ephedrine is that it has both direct (α & β) adrenergic agonist effects and indirect (amphetamine or tyramine-like) sympathomimetic effects. So I have always wondered about its indirect effects and how it relates to your thread.
As with other indirect symp effects, we should expect an increased release of dopamine, and adrenaline. I would think that chronic use would cause a major strain on your adrenals. I love the rush I get from eph but do start to tire after a week of frequent use.
Any thoughts?
you just answered your own question .....
As well, any outside influnces in your day to day life can really tax your CNS. Trying to filter all the bullshit and then focus an intense workout can be a difficult juggle.
I'm a huge fan of deload or rest weeks. Come back the next week and kill it.
I just took 8 days off and went to the gym the past 2 days and KILLED it. It was scientifically proven some people need more sleep then others. I only need 6 hours because my internal clock gets me up and puts me to sleep at the same time every day. I am never tired during the day unless I carb up at lunch and other then that I have the energy of a 14 year old at my age.
RustyhookerBoom!!! Even mid cycle when you think things are going great but feel bleh. Couple days off won't kill your gains. Reboot the total system.
