ad

Although medical science has advanced there are certain diseases for which 100% treatment cannot be assured. Psoriasis Ayurvedic treatment on the other hand has gone beyond one’s expectation but the results may vary from patient to patient. What may seem to work for one may not have any effect on another. Therefore, as with most diseases Ayurveda believes in customization, that is the physiological chemistry of the body is studied by the practitioner and the response is analyzed and following this the mode of treatment is decided upon. Once the treatment is started and the patient is on medication, it is highly recommended that the patient sticks to foods that are soft to digest and does not produce much of gas. There are some foods that aggravate the onset of the manifestations in susceptible individuals which includes canned foods, eggs, and processed chemical additives and opposite foods. Boiled vegetables, fruits, fruit juices and certain spices are good psoriasis diet. It is best not to control natural urges like daily purgation; vomiting, urination and application of certain oils like cod liver oil, linseed oil, lecithin and vitamin E fasten the healing process. Consumption of too much of salty, sour or acidic foods is not advised according to Ayurveda. Since dryness is associated with Psoriasis, it is best to always to prevent dryness of the skin by retaining the moisture. Mental relaxation is a must to keep the disease at bay and therefore relaxation techniques like meditation must be practiced at regular intervals.
