can tricep injections cause nerve damage?

ad

I am suffering from ulnar nerve compression in my rt. elbow so any chest or tricep excercises cause pain and my last 2 fingers to go numb. It wasn't until about a yr ago I started injecting into my triceps and the nerve condition developed over the past couple of months. Did injecting in my triceps cause this?

Yes if you hit the radial nerve it can but the thing about self injection is you can feel if your close to the nerve and stop before you permanently damage it. That is if your not jabbing yourself with the needle at least I don't/cant because I like to insert that sucker slow for this reason alone.

what type of needle do you use? I have been pinning with Slin pins and no pain no blood

You shouldn't have problems if you rotate injection sites frequently
and do them correctly.

Yes they can ... as can shooting any muscle!

Let me explain.... you may not have/or been hitting a nerve/s at any stage but what does happen is that frequent shots in the same place creates an oil pool!... if that "pool" is pressing on or touching nerves as you move throughout the day this is were the pain is coming from...... you need to drop tri,s and rotate your shots throughout multiple body parts to ensure that you control or illeviate the "pooling effect".
