Eating more to GGGRROOOOWWWWW!!!! But not getting fat at 55.

ad

I've struggled with eating multiple times a day and/or large quantities of food for years. Partly because I was 325lbs before I started on my fitness journey. I was 27 and depressed...food was a comfort. I went from 220 to 325 in about 3 years. When I got things in check, I followed a cyclical low-carb diet, lifted religiously, and did a good deal of cardio. I lost 100lbs in 8 months.

I'm now 55 years old and around 240lbs. Haven't had my bodyfat percentage tested, but I can see my abs even with a bit of excess skin from being so overweight before. I currently intermittent fast and barely consume 2 meals a day. Part of me wants to put on a bit more muscle by eating more, but that fat guy inside scares me. Gear helps, but I don't do any massive doses of anything. I keep it all light. GH helps too, but without the food to give me that extra push...meh. I literally love food, but only really have an appetite when I'm stressed.

Any tidbits of advice would be great.

This maybe not what you want to hear but I will throw it out there anyway - do you not think that 240lb's when you are 55 years old with abs showing is already a pretty good Bodyweight to be at anyway? I'd call that a pretty Solid, Muscular and athletic bodyweight especially when you are 55 years old - Hell at any age its good. I ask this because the heavier you go the more unhealthy it is for your Heart because its being taxed more heavily the heavier you get. I know its nothing in comparison - but at 5'8 I peaked at 220lb's about 6 months back and to be honest it just felt like one big effort in every single little thing that I did, often out of breath and just feeling heavy all the time. I can't say it felt great tbh - it made me wonder how the hell guys at 250lb's plus handle it all the time or even 280.

Yeh Man I’m also 5’8 and last year I hit 228 and stairs and having to tie my boots was rough lol I can’t imagine what 250-270 or even heavier would feel like

About a year ago I was up to a quite fluffy 246 at 6’ tall. I personally didn’t enjoy it.

@Gotem69 @randomdude and @RobertB80 already dropped solid advices… but if I can add my two cents, brother…

At 55, abs showing, eating twice a day, you’re leaving free muscle on the table. Straight up.
If appetite is your bottleneck, you don’t need to “try harder” … you need the right tools:

IMO…MK-677 (10–20mg/day)
Turns appetite from “ehh” into F E E D M E in about a week. Keeps IGF-1 elevated too.
Just watch water retention. Could use some GHRP-6 (100–200mcg pre-meal)
Old-school, dirty effective. Hunger hits like a bus.
If you actually want to grow at 55, this is the cheat code.

GH alone won’t do much without FOOD.
GH is the spark. Calories are the gasoline.
Even three clean meals + a shake would make a difference for you.

And don’t fear the “fat guy inside,” man …
you’re not 27 anymore smashing Little Debbie’s in the dark.
You train, you diet, you move, you use gear smart. Your metabolism isn’t the same guy from back then.

A little structured eating + an appetite booster = clean muscle, controlled fat, steady progress.

Use it or toss it, brother man … but if you run MK or GHRP-6, you’ll be hitting me in a month like:
“Panda… I’m hungry as fuck.”

Easy fix, brother man … anything you want… plus 1g Test, 1g Mast, 1g Tren, and suddenly groceries become optional because you’ll be full of pure rage and air. lol

Start with 4 meals a day to kick it off eat your body weight in protein light carbs and low fat vegetables 2x a day oatmeal with breakfast for fiber or take a fiber supp. Make sure you're hydrated

Drink a bottle of water first thing in the morning then mix what I typed below all together with another bottle of water and chug the bottle to.
Make sure your digestion is in line
Apple cider vinegar 2-4 ounces
Lime juice 2-4 ounces
Probiotic capsule
Inosotol supplement get the tabs one am one one with 3rd meal eat pineapple with one of your meals later in the day helps with digestion and get some kambucha and sourkraut I can't stress enough getting your digestion down in line.

That's as simple as I can make it without getting into exact details of diet but I don't know what you're allergic to or how your digestion is and what proteins you digest well try chat gtp for a good diet and adjust it to your needs ai makes things pretty simple now if you haven't been in the game long. I truly only know what works for me personally so if you ask me for advise other than this I can't help you lol example
You may like ground beef i don't bc I don't digest it well so i do fish, chicken, eggs and yogurt lol

Try some calorie dense foods like peanut butter and whole milk. Might help with the mental side of not eating a large amount but getting the calories in.

Thanks, Bro.

When I first went on my body recomp journey, peanuts, pent butter, tuna, chicken, and veggies was all I ate.

Now, after a meal, I snack on nuts during my 4 hour feeding window. Oftentimes, I can't even get another meal in because the nuts sit heavily on me. Especially almonds.

If you’re working out religiously and on gear alongside hgh then you should be fine to eat more. Without fuel you can’t train properly. That fat guy you speak of is gone. He didn’t train and ate to feed the same hole that training fills. Start with a cheat meal or day and go from there. If you stick with training and your cycle you’ll be fine. “Do the thing you fear and the death of fear is certain.”

Amazing advice. Fear is definitely my sticking point. I'm off cycle right now, so eating more (even clean with a solid routine) is scary. I'm intermittent fasting, now - 20/4 with low carbs. When I jump back on cycle, I'll add a carb cheat meal in every 4th day. I think I'll be able to psychologically handle that.

Thanks

Sounds like a good plan. A little gear, hgh, and consider a little Reta. It’ll help control blood sugar and manage weight. Tirz is another good option but it suppress appetite much stronger.

I tried it, but used a microdosing protocol. Since I already don't eat much, I didn't feel any appetite suppression. Microcdosing surely helped with that, as well. I did lean out more, though...without eating less. My next run with it, I'll be adding the carb uptick every 4th day.
