+ 2 Is it possible to treat injury-induced arthritis with AS and HGH?
About 8 years ago I totally busted my right shoulder while doing military-press with a 220lb barbell. Torn rotator, torn-off labrum, severe trauma to the joint itself. Very painful and a very slow recovery. Took over 2 years to get semi-better. In the meantime I developed a severe case of injury induced arthritis. Pretty much as expected considering my age.
I went to several different doctors and all of hem gave me a pretty much the same response after reviewing the MRI. " this condition is irreversable will get worse over time and the only solution is a metal joint implant with the surgery scheduled in 2 to max. 3 years". I was told that my days at the gym are over. End of discussion.
Because I wasn't ready for any of this I started doing lots of online research and decided to treat this allegedly irreversible condition myself. I discussed my treatment plans with one of the doctors and his initial reaction was that I was totally crazy and absolutely irresponsible. But what else would you expect from a guy who told you earlier that the only option wass a metal joint.....
Started on 2 year-long "cycle" of low-dose Deca (75mg/wk), Test. (75mg/wk) and HGH (2IU/day). Plus shitload of vitamins and other supplements At the same time I hit the gym again 3-4X a week taking it really easy with low weight and high repetitions.
To my doctors surprise (and to my hopes and expectations) things started improving slowly. 3 to 4 months into the self-treatment program the pain started fading away and my range of motion improved greatly. After one year I was nearly pain-free and my range of motion was nearly back to normal. 2 years later I was able to lift like if the injury never occurred. I have virtually zero pain I am able to exercise five times a week without limitations and my doctor is shaking his head in sheer disbelieve. Even though I am pain-free and without serious issues regarding my right shoulder my doctor would still like me to get the metal implant. Can you believe that? Thanks but no thanks!
I wanted to share this short story with others who might have similar problem and dilema and possibly similar experience. I am definitely not suggesting that you should follow my protocol and I cannot possibly guarantee that the same will work for the next guy. On the other hand I am a living proof that it is possible to lift weights regardless of severe shoulder trauma, bad case of arthritis and to stay pain-free with no more " loud crunching noise" every time you move you arm.
I would definitely like to hear from others with similar experience. Maybe we can prove some of these doctors wrong. According to them I was supposed to have my shoulder joint replaced more than four years ago..... if I wanted to retain at least some right arm mobility.....no way around this.....

That's awesome man. Gh could really help a lot of people, to bad they don't ever use it. And aftef surgery it could really speed up ones recovery. I have a L4-5 annular tear in my lower back and a fucked up shoulder, been like that for many years now and unfortunately gh hasn't helped, and I been on it for a long time in generous doses.
Sorry to hear that HGH didn't do much for you in the long run. I don't really understand how come it helps only some. Did you run some Deca together with hgh?
My L4 and L5 are also in semi-bad shape due to mineralization but in my case it is age related.
I feel you bro, almost same situation with me too. Only thing I tell myself is that with my injuries to lumbar and cervical spine I really shouldn’t be able to grind as hard as I do. I think the GH has allowed me to train and punish my body without additional injury. I haven’t healed anything and pain is still somewhat an issue but sometimes I’m amazed at how far I’ve been able to come after my injuries.
Glad to hear that hgh is allowing you to lift and to stay away from further injury.
Thats pretty amazing that you were able to bring yourself back like that. And honestly a big set of balls to tackle that yourself and to think it would work. Make one wonder how many injuries or illnesses could be fixed easier and less intrusively by a low gh dose for example and the will to be better insted of a crippling surgery. Im glad to hear your back at it that really is awesome. You're not pressing 220lb dumbells though are you? Lol
Thank you for your response, Jayzgainz. No, I am no longer doing seated barbell military press as there are other less dangerous exercises for this muscle group. I really don't need to go thru all this again ever in my life! LOL....
Being 56 I no longer push myself with excessive weights. But I still do pretty well and I'm happy with my achievements. I run 2 long (3-4 mo.) cycles annually (usually NPP, Test and Primo/Masteron/Test), I stay away from orals (I mean AS :-) ) and I'm doing pretty well, doing this just for fun now and to stay in shape. I am taking 1 IU HGH/day long-term too.
Yes, I do believe that "modern" medicine is mainly based on making money and not on the actual treatment. I think that millions of people suffering from crippling arthritis could be treated by low dose HGH combined with a low-dose nandrolone (Deca is preferred for this particular case IMO).
I would still love to hear from others if they have a similar experience.
What a great read! Wish I could vote this up because it definitely deserves some more looks. I have heard of a few recovery stories with hgh but not one like yours. Stuff amazes me.
I'm really glad you enjoyed reading my story. Very appreciated!
I fractured 2 vertebra in my lower back a couple of years ago. I was laid up for 6 weeks initially, and then began physical therapy. I was becoming tolerant to the pain meds and the Drs. were wanting to begin the process of a life long pain management regimen. And lifting at that point was out of the question and would be forever according to the specialists. Even my physical therapy coach was saying I would be lucky to lift over 20 pounds again. I went the same route you did with the hgh. After 6 months of 3 ius/d I was released from physical therapy, and started lifting with a 150lb weight restriction being recommended. I never went back to the specialist, or the pain management center, but continued to follow up with my pcp monthly. After 3 more months of the same gh protocol, I was told I could lift up to 200lbs and i stayed there until April of this year. Against the advice of my pcp I increased my bench, deadlift, and squats by 5 lbs every 2 weeks until I hit 225. I still hit 225 once every week or so just to keep me motivated but for the most part stay around 185- 200, as my Dr. is a Doctor, lol. But I am thankful, and grateful for not being on the opioids, and for being able to live a happy productive life. I truly believe the GH aided in my recovery, and though I follow my drs. advice for the most part, Sometimes you should listen to your body and your heart. Stay strong, and thanks for sharing your experience.
Thank you for sharing your own experience. I wonder if HGH alone would do the trick. Possibly yes. Nevertheless, I strongly believe that nandrolone works in synergy with HGH when it comes to creating a new soft tissue in and around joints. I'm really glad that others are experimenting with these compounds since doctors are not willing to do so.... personally I don't feel that I will need a metal joint replacement anytime soon.
