Been spending most of my time at the gym. Some MFers from a podunk town in Ontario; Mississauga, cloned, stole, whatevered my check card Monday and smashed my account. It'll be refunded but damn I'd pay to get 15 minutes alone with them. Haaaate thieves!
See its really fucked up, they have no incentive to really stop. They may get caught. Bur cards have fraud protection. They get yoyr info. Get to max out or drain your card. Then you get your money back and they know it. But wouldnt care anyway. And then repeat the process with the next person. Unless the credit card or bank companies push hard for investigations they probably wont get caught. But a couple charges like that over a certain amount is mandatory prison time
I'd much rather rehabilitate them myself. They'd never sin again. You're right though; after ten days, the issuing bank has to at least temporarily return the funds stolen. I was surprised, since I notified my bank within hours, since I get a daily balance text and noticed right away. They still processed the payment, rather than leave it "pending". When I asked them why, they said they have to. Sounds crazy to me!
