It's this guys responsibility to bring up issues like this, that's how this forum is intended to work.
Actually the 'seasoned" guys just handle minor issues IN HOUSE (and a filter fiber IS a minor issue) and we handle it, THIS just brings out the trolls and has me answering 50 more emails and PMs then I need too... had a guy yesterday with an improper crimp, he contacted me I handled it AND I didn't have 20 guys trying to hustle me for FREE gear.... There is an etiquette in place
If there was any breach of etiquette it was on you. You are a source verified by member experience, without that knowledge members have no way of knowing whether you are a credible source or not. While I have yet to see a photo of the issue clearly, telling the guy to piss off because he raised a legitimate issue is not protocol and you know that. I don't care if he's been here for five minutes or five years, trying to delegitimize a members valid concern helps no one. You don't like rookies that's fine, only do business with members who have 100+ Karma otherwise take care of your customers.

a) contacted me directly and I would have solved his problem
