Perforated ear drum from constant ear infections. Been repaired by a mate of mine. They graft pigs bowel onto the ear drum to close the hole, pretty neat science.
Have to admit I was pacing around like a gibbering wreck whilst she was in surgery! Out now and awake, should be going home this afternoon.

My thoughts are with you.. Luckily my kids have had nothing major except the beatings they have inflicted on each other (boys). Seeing my kids go through any pain and suffering and I turn in the biggest softy in te world.

Yep.. They also know exactly how to act and what to say to break me down. I try not to spoil my kids but I do. No complaints though I have the best kids in the world. They are my motivation.
I'm going to spoil my son tonight by buying him a present. I told him he could pick out a new axe. High time he joined in on the wood splitting duties. I'm getting to old to do it my self.
NICE!! My kids aren't that old yet. I can't wait for the day to use them for labor. lol

Hell ya brother me to.. Up at 5:00 rain or shine. Feeding the animals, digging ditches, running irrigation pipe, and driving a tractor.. Honestly dont miss it one bit. I would like to have a few acres to live on again.. Just for the privacy..

Amazing how stressful it is when it's your kids! I've barely slept all week in the build up. She needs spoiling now to recover so tomorrow we're going to buy a Lego millennium falcon.

The bit that I struggled with today was watching her be anaesthetised and falling off to sleep. No idea why, but really hit me hard. The nurse walked me out, gave me a hug and whispered "not as tough as you look" in my ear.
