+ 7 Want to live longer?

Donate some blood. This has probably been the best thing I’ve done since finding gear. Not only am I decreasing my chances of heart disease/stroke etc, I am also potentially saving someone’s life.

If it’s something your not doing I’d highly suggest it.
I’d always planned on self bleeding but a few members on here convinced me to donate instead and have to say it not only makes you feel healthier instantly but makes you feel happier knowing someone is benefiting from something so simple.

I also read (not sure where) that for males in particular, it’s important because as men get olde we build up toxins in our blood. For women, these are flushed out monthly in their period, but alas men don’t have this luxury. Give it a try and tell me you dont feel better after.

Where do you go to donate blood? I get turned away every time because my hemocrit numbers are to high.

Damn . I’ve donated with RBC at 57 which I thought was extremely high. What was your hematocrit?

If your numbers are to high I suggest finding somewhere to do a therapeutic phlebotomy then once your in range keep yourself in range by donating in a blood bank. If your diagnosed with haemocromatosis the blood bank will take your blood out and dump it for you.
