+ 8 Update on the 700g carb fill up! Seems to have done the trick!! Now time to pull back down

As most of you may have seen yesterday I posted myself very lean but very flat!! I decided to take a rest day, do no cardio, and lay in the sun all day taking naps but filling up on 700g of carbs (all rice based) for maximum digestion and replenish glycogen stores! I'm happy to say it made a huge difference and 100% filled me out but now it's time to suck back down for the next week and embrace the grind!!

Alot of work has gone in to this the last 14 weeks or so brother and it hasn't always been plain sailing especially when food got real low but I have adjusted accordingly along the journey which in the past I have struggled to listen to my body. But I have 3 more days to go then some family relaxation time 2 week holiday lots of food, switch off time then back for a 3 week mini cut then in to a big off season ready to put on some quality tissue ready for next year's shows

Haha I did say I was very flat! I could feel it man! Felt terrible, legs felt like lead, no energy my body was screaming out for the extra food. Banged it in kept movement to a minimum had s couple of naps and eaten every 2.5 hours each meal 150g carbs each meal over 5 meals and the body literally sucked it all up but I suppose when you really learn your body and how it reacts that's what happens man. In the past I'd just keep digging deeper and deeper I'd get really stringy and struggle to get back out of the hole

100% buddy in the past I'd just keep sucking down and digging myself in to a hole but this year I'm really listening to what my body needs and acting on it and it seems to be doing the trick!

Funny you should say that I have literally dropped all cardio today and just done 12,000 steps through the day and it's made all the difference I feel like all the cardio I was doing was running me in to the ground, training was taking a hit and legs were feeling like lead. Feel like a totally new man after the carb up and dropping the 1 hour cardio. I'll see how the physique holds and will adjust accordingly

I think you look like a whole different person. Your steps are probably more that enough. Just think, have you ever seen a jacked up runner? Shredded maybe, but I never see some guy that looks the way you do in today’s picture running around my parts. I only see skinny guys long distance running. That shit sucks the life out of you. Although, my lazy ass is definitely not speaking from experience, LOL.

Haha don't get me wrong you'll never catch me running it's normally a steady state cardio post workout 1 hour on the treadmill at a gradient of 9.5-10 and a speed of 3.5 so my heart rate normally stays between 130-140 but with being on low food and the steps on top throughout the day it was sucking the life out of me. I'm going to do a few days no treadmill see if much changes then assess from there but so far I feel incredible today

I have a video clip brother which I posted on my socials but unfortunately eroids doesn't do the video clips haha. Basically looking like this with me lifting the vest up I only do top less when the gym is totally empty I don't want to be one of them guys

It's been beautiful mate! Especially as I'm up at 5.30 am to train before work! Makes all the difference waking up to the sun shining and the birds singing instead of darkness and frost or pissing down rain! Make the most of it while we can haha

Seriously mate - every single time it gets to May it doesn't matter how cold its been just before, all of a sudden it turns into Summer! It will stay fairly good now and then in the end of May Bank Holiday it will be awesome, then it will go back to being shitty again for all of June LOL Does it every year I notice. And a nice good fill up of carbs bro haha it was much needed! This is what I meant when I said I felt so small and flat in that previous pic as I know how I should normally look but a day of doing nothing, napping, eating and laying around in the sun made the world of difference haha
