What Dacky is saying is on the money great advice!! Those tests are what you need to compare to baseline during cycle & post pct.
But unless your doctor knows your plan they will not write a script for testing (Progesterone or Estrogen) because they will only show up in Female or (Unisex) panels. Also, if your doctor doesn’t know your plans then they will disregard the Folicale Stimulating Hormone (FSH) & the Luteinizing Hormone (LH) testing because your testosterone lvl’s are already in a good place so they see no reason.
Also SHGB is a good one to check during cycle
Thank you for that information Sir. I’ll have to order private labs online to make sure everything is in order with my health. Since this will be my first cycle, I know how important it is to acquire an original baseline of all my levels.
Testosterone levels can be quite widely variable based on multiple factors - diet, sleep, activity, meds etc. So long as your seeing consistently “normal” results for you I wouldn’t be worried.
All that said and while it’s great you checked your testosterone levels what about the rest of the important asssys. Estrogen? How will you know your response if you don’t know your baseline and if you need an AI. Baseline LH and FSH numbers are critical for you to know if your PCT has/is working. You need to know your CBC so check how your Hb and HCG respond. Lipids to see if testosterone has an impact here (its rare but it does happen).
During my draw, I also had a comprehensive metabolic panel, complete blood count, lipids checked (as well as a few other health screening tests like HIV, urinalysis, etc.), but there was no check for estrogen unfortunately. I asked to get all my levels checked for a full health screen but it appears as though he did not order estrogen. I may have to run an additional lab come August before I start my cycle.
Also for Hb, are you referring to hemoglobin? And there was no value for HCG in this lab unfortunately. I had it done at my primary care so I couldn’t order a female hormone profile, but I have since found information here about private labs to perform subsequent testing.
Hi yes sorry Hb is haemoglobin and I meant HCT (Heamatocrit). Glad you have the full picture and yes get the estrodial ans LH/FSH baselines done before you cycle.
No problem Sir, thanks for the responses. To answer at least a little more of your question, my hemoglobin came in at 16.5 g/dL and hematocrit was 48.1% at the day of my draw (13 June, 2018).
