Me on my 55th, after accident, and 2017 show

bigrigger's picture

Hi Theo. So glad you caught this brother as you have been a huge contributor to the end result with your inspirational words and even more of a inspiration with your fabulous physique. My daughter mentioned to me how she was proud of me for the comeback from a near death accident to winning a bodybuilding show 16 months later. It seemed like I was out of the gym forever (3 months) so it sure seemed like it was a lot longer span of time. Now I'm fighting osteo arthritis and working very hard to avoid a hip replacement. Getting old and broken has only upped the intensity. Gymnastics is how I'm training to fix the hip and it's working. It's also had a profound effect on the physique so I will post the annual birthday pic Nov 14. Love you brother (no homo) take care of that great physique and be well!

You're to kind brother and your physique far surpasses mine! That is so cool regarding your daughters comments! You know what they say my friend "out of the mouths of babes and sucklings though has perfected praise"! Awesome and motivational comeback indeed, so indicative of your indomitable spirit!
I'm greatly anticipating your birthday pics which will prove to be amazing as is usual! Keep grinding my friend knowing that I'm there in spirit! Love you too brother and keep up the good fight! Wishing you and your loved ones all the best moving forward! Also, keeping you in my thought and prayers regarding your arthritis issues!

Looking phenomenal brother Bigrigger! Appearing larger than life my friend! You're an inspiration to more mature members like myself and the young ones also! Dialed it in nicely for the contest, tight, crisp and polished! Sorry about the accident but I know you'll use that to catapult forward! Admirably accomplished my friend! +2 for a build that defies time and gravity! Much respect and keep grinding Bigrigger!

I will put up a progress pic on my 59th birthday Nov 14. Thought I might enter a Halloween show so I’m in the middle of 6 wk cut. Then I found out that there is no old man division so I’ll have a look see a couple of weeks out and maybe enter. Anyway should be in pretty good shape for November. Thanks for the kind words brother

You did a great job! I'm so sorry about your accident...it's horrible

bigrigger's picture

Cheers Tight. Just a bump in the road the accident was. Now I've got osteo arthritis in my right hip and I'm working on avoiding hip replacement surgery. I will never give up! Fr sent.

It's so hard to think that some kind of this bad thing one day can be with you or with people you love and take care.

Thanks Sam. I have a 16 yr old daughter and I never want her to feel like she has an old dad! The fountain of youth is in our finger tips guys!

I have a 4 year old daughter. I think of this often. I think she's going to be dads bodybuilder. My son lifts and is strong but his genetics are better suited for sport. Same parents. It's funny how different they are.

You know I use the no old dad as a motivater. Glad she got my genetics and is a competive swimmer. Her mother ((my ex thank god) has turned into a cow so she got lucky.. Thanks for putting me in the lofty air with Theo' Greg, and Irish Mac, they are tremendous bodybuilders who are a constant source of inspiration. Like to add my friend Makwa to your list of seniors with great game. Thanks again Sam you are a gentleman.

My wife and I are in the best shape of our lives at 56 and I'll be 59 next month. If we can do it, anyone can. We are both not genetic freeks, we are just normal everyday working stiffs. Keep at it brother you will see!

You nailed it brother right there.
