Random Mass Spec for Q and A
ad
I've got a question about mass specs, and a pic would help me ask it.

In this one the values on the graph don't match the value in the equation...Is this an error, or am I missing something?
When calculation purity, how does the tester know where to move the decimal point?
On some tests the purity calculation is done with the number shown, but on this one, the 7.07 gets changed to 7070 for the purity calc.
Don't wanna get involved in these mass specs but just a quick note for you if you missed it, it says 7.07e3 that's the scientific notation for 7.07 x 10^3 which is 7070
Thankyou! that is just what I was asking about.
