+ 6 Post Gyno surgery help.

ad

Hello all.

I had my gynecomastia removed last Friday which had grown quite severely during the COVID down time.

I wanted to ask if anyone could reccomend any post surgery care, I,e supplement, HGH or peptides. I currently have stitches across my chest and swelling below the skin.

Currently eating clean mainly, eggs, roasted chicken, mixed vegetables and some protein shakes to keep protein high.

Supplements: omega 3, Vit D, Vit C, Zinc and Magnesium.

Dosing HGH at 5 iu a day but a little concerned whether this would cause more scar tissue to grow, or even help the recovery. Not sure if other peptides could help with recovering from the incision and swelled chest.

Maybe some bpc-157 and tb500.

wow, never seen pictures of this. Now I'm even more scarred of gyno! Do you know how much these weighted mate?

Zee's picture

It has definitely made me re-evaluate my lifestyle choices including AAS. More regular blood testing.
I didn't ask about the weight but what I will say right after surgery my chest felt kind of empty or light, difficult to explain but definitely like a good chunk of mass had been removed.
The tube in red is fat mixed with water that 400cc removed.

just wow man... And thank you for posting! Fingers crossed for your fast recovery!

Man just rest. Keep your compression vest on. Ice when needed. Ibuprofen or Naproxen as needed for swelling that persists after the first few days post op. Make sure you follow up for any new significantly swelling that could be coagulated blood. I had to have mine done years ago and re opened on the right due to clot build up. That shit did not feel good as I opted for local anesthesia both times.

But to answer your questions drop your hgh to 2-3iu zero reason to OD on that right now. No supplements have been shown to aid in healing for this that I know of

Thank you Ghost,
Sorry to hear about your past experience and hope the surgen sorted it out
I have stopped pain killers now as swelling has become manageble I work in a desk based job from home so very limited movement and therefore less chance of aggravating it. Keeping compression vest on 247 and 4 days in and still not used to it. Extremely uncomfortable, I have to take breaths sometimea for air.
Monitoring chest for swelling or fluid and will send to surgeon in case of concerns.
I think I will go down to 3iu as I am a little concerned that GH may cause more fluid build up (nothing to back this up though)

Well this definitely beats Rusty's abscess pictures Lmao Bad

Haha Press hope your well and not stuck in any of these strikes around here. Had to get a 5 hour coach home from the London after surgery due to rail strikes. Must say was a very painful 5 hour ride and you don't realise how badly a coach shakes till you have stitches in your body.

Bud everything is crazy atm in this country isn't it, I cannot believe all these nurses and ambulance drivers striking today. Sods law isn't it when you want a smooth, quick and easy train journey you can't get one. Post that normally takes a day to get to me is taking a week in most cases getting held up in delivery depots. Makes you realise how nice it is when we are not in pain from surgery doesn't it - even just walking hurt my jaw after my implants as you don't realise it but you lower jaw slightly hinges and flexes when walking!! Lol Wishing you a Merry Christmas buddy - You could use that lot in a party trick and lay it on a dinner plate for someone LMFAO ROFL

Have a lovely Christmas and New year.
I now do wish I had to take them with me!

See choose your supplements wisely. I just signed up to a private lab that tests all these supplements. You would be amazed how just about every label on any supplement has lies and errors in dosing. What brand supplements do you take? Full Vitamin blood panel every 3 months is a great thing. I been doing it and it definitely gives you very valuable data. Zee I never really took gyno to seriously since it’s never been an issue for me but this pic is a wake up call. Thanks for posting that.

I think I read about this not so long ago. I can't remember the brands from the top of head but I stick to EU brands as they seem to have more strict testing regimes.
Your welcome, glad I could expose people to it directly.

Yeah it was pretty bad if I didn't work out chest it would have looked like like a woman's chest . I will probably post a pic before and after once fully settled and I am back in shape again.

I got a quick question for you, I had gyno from puberty, and my left pec. Does insurance cover that? Also, how long do you have to wait until you can work out again? I hope you heal up quick brother.

I'm in the UK so had to pay Cash. Maybe someone else could chime in on this. I think here in the UK it is covered by the NHS if you can convince your doctor it is super sensitive or painful and severely impacting your mental health, even then I think there is a very small probability.

Surgeon said:
2 weeks before light activities (as in light cardio)
Usually at least a minimum of 4 weeks before weightlifting depending on recovery. I am probably going to give it 6-8 weeks. I have read some horrors stories with people going to the gym and getting hematomas. Depending on the severity the surgeon then may have to cut you up again and this can defect the look of the pecs. I would recommend waiting as long as possible from weight lifting. Others have gone back to the gym in two weeks with no issues. Staying on the safe side.

Bear in mind full recovery and settling of the chest take 3-6 months which is what most repeatable surgeons will tell you but they will also advise you can train earlier. Hence I am not going back to the gym for a while just going to put the money towards GH and regular blood tests.

In some country's in the eu if you can prove its puberty related some times the cover it but hell here they dont cut anymore they drill a hole under the nipple en suck the fat out. My friend let it a year ago or something he recovered well and you dont even see the hole of the drill

I read on another forum some getting on the NHS but they did a poor job and years later he had to get it done privately. I think a lot of the top cosmetic surgeons are private in the UK and not under NHS.

Hey. I know you're glad to finally get rid of that lol. Did you get the entire glands removed or just the tissue? I have never encountered any gyno but my I know several who did. One in particular, first just got the tissue cut out, but gyno unfortunately came back then they went for 2nd op and had the entire glands l removed. Make sure you go to all the follow up appointments cause they check and make sure blood doesn't clot in the area. They drain them out if so, but if you skimp on it it will eventually form a lump that will look very similar to gyno. The blood clot that is. He was on GH as well and says it healed up sooner than surgeon expected due to it. He got his done by Dr. Blau, the surgeon that Dave Palumbo used to always recommend. I've seen some terrible hack jobs where they took too much tissue out and when healed, had a caved in appearance. Some are perfect and you can't tell any work was ever done. Hope yours end up looking great and hope you heal quickly bro

Zee's picture

Thanks brother.
I had the full gland removed, went to a few surgeon consulations and decided to go with Dr. John Skevofilax (London) as he confirmed he will remove the full gland. I was quite suprised with the size of glands removed but he mention its larger than what you may have seen online as most surgeons don't removed the entire gland.
He tightened up my skin under the nipple and removed some skin too to prevent the nipple from inverting in to where the gland was removed.

I was told about the blood and fluid up so keeping a watch on that and will be sending photos to my surgeon every few days. So 48 hours Post op it is just swelled at the moment. I think I will stick to HGH, high protein and healthy foods

Thanks brother, definitely pleased and would say 100% worth the money.

Where did they go in for each of your surgery’s round nipple or did anyone have them go in from the armpit? If all glandular tissue is properly removed is there little chance of it growing back or is that a real issue?

Zee's picture

I made sure to go with a surgeon that removes the full gland. The glands may look larger than what you may see on other posts but according my surgeon it is average size and may look large as other surgeons do not remove the full gland and leave a little to prevent the nipple from Inverting.

After removing the gland he removed some skin to tighten the area and the stitched it as close as possible to the pec muscle to prevent inversions. I have to wear a compression vest for 4 weeks minimum to keep the area tight and prevent the skin from loosening up.

The surgeon went below the arm pit but I still have stitches above the nipple area and next to it where the skin was tightened up. I have been advised to silicon gel after two weeks as this will drastically reduce scarring. Also vaseline once scabs form.

He said chances of gyno returning after full gland removal are next to zero even in steroid user, but the extremely small minority that do some how return are steroid users that may have not been keeping their hormones in check or blasting with crazy doses.

Congratulations on your surgery. I was using GH during my recovery and I truly believe it helped with bruising as I had no discoloration whatsoever. I had it done Jan 6th 2022 and didn’t start working out again until the middle of March and even then there was some tenderness.

Zee's picture

Thanks, I have some swelling underneath the skin which has made my chest look a little larger than it should be. Sent pics to surgeon and was told could be 3 -6 months for swelling to fully settle. Hoping GH decreases this time. Also got a little bit of bruising and heard this can increase in the first couple of weeks.

They had to aspirate the left side several times. You should have several follow up appointments to monitor fluid buildup. My nipples looked collapsed and caved in until 7-9 months. It takes a while, don’t rush to do chest workouts, hit up legs, arms and cardio until they have you the green light.

Zee's picture

100 I am keeping an eye on that I was advised that is the most likely side effect.
Told me to prevent movement as much possible. Leaving the fluid in there can build scar tissue which can then lengthen the recovery.
