EDIT: I added two pictures. Everything is out of me just all the stitches now.
I don't know where I screwed up. Normally I am thorough and safe and clean with my injections.
I pinned my left quad Thursday morning, did legs Thursday afternoon, pip started Thursday night got that Friday morning.
Saturday it was swollen and hurt, but I was still treating it like pip, even went to work. By Sunday my whole leg was swollen and I was scared didn't know what to do. I Kept treating it like PIP hoping it would go away. Monday went to work then left early to go to the ER.
IV antibiotics all Monday night. Tuesday morning they did a CT scan and found a gnarly abscess entangled in my quad muscles lower outside of my thigh. 6+ inches below my injection site.
I went in for surgery 8:30 PM Tuesday night. Now I'm laid out in a hospital bed with a wound VAC installed in my leg sucking the poison out of my body. Going back to the operating room Thursday morning to have the vac pulled out. Friday morning they should be done with the drains and everything and finish closing my leg up.
So about Saturday I will start recovery of a wound in my left leg that the doctor literally compared to a chainsaw accident.
I am praying that this post helps somebody else stay vigilant in their pinning process.
STAY CLEAN WASH EVERYTHING SWAB EVERYTHING WITH ALCOHOL USE A BRAND-NEW DRAWING PIN, THEN A BRAND-NEW STICKING PIN, COVER YOUR INJECTION SITE WITH A BAND-AID.

brutal! what type of poisoning? staph? cellulitis? or? ive never seen this b4, must of turned septic, and started cutting off blood flow restricting circulation, nasty as fk! i always have strong broad spectrum anti biotics on hand, if i feel something not quite rite i begin immediately , triple dose first day, double 2nd and 3rd, then run normal untill it subsides, with yours it progessed rapidly, maybe you already had somethong brewing under the skin, had you pinned the same gear b4?

The operation is on a abscess 6 inches lower than your pin sight? Did the doctors tell you your out of practice with inter-muscular injections? Are you sure this couldn't have been caused by anything else?
RustyhookerOils can and will move thru the muscle. Same reason we warm our gear pre-injection is for it to easily dissipate.

It was not the oil. I pinned from the same vial Monday am with absolutely no problem. I cut it with sterile CSO and pinned my glute... Reasoning behind risking using that oil again instead of throwing it away:
By the time I went to pin on Monday I knew I was going to have to go in for my knee... Did not imagine in 1 million years that I would have to have surgery on my knee... But I figured the day that I was going into the hospital to be treated would be the safest day to test that oil to see if it was my injection or the oil...-- happy to say not even a little bit of pip in my ass
As I said in your other post I think it was just the strength of the stuff. The 400mg/ml finished my shoulder off !! I do believe that you did say the first shot wasn't Cut and this caused the problem. I like you had the morbid fascination and shot myself with the same bottle to make sure it wasn't bad !!
It kind of made me feel a bit Sick seeing you laying thereas I know exactly how that feels. Anyways Just stay positive and hopefully you will be back on the mend and back in the gym soon.

Yessir. I have a full on ritual for pinning, I don't recall forgetting any step in my cleaning sanitizing drawing or any part of my procedure. But obviously something was wrong. I pray for my situation to raise people's awareness and caution in pinning.

Lol, yeah... My right hand is still in a cast
but it is healing great, my wrist surgeon is super happy with me. And I'm still rattling 75 pound dumbbells for my chest routine... can't hold a barbell, and 75s are the heaviest DBS in my gym, but I don't think I need any heavier than that with a broken wrist- 2 weeks left for the wrist!
