Damn Bigtone, you did great through the pandemic and a major injury for sure! +
I lost so much gains that I worked so hard for :( last year 2019 was maybe 2 days a week at the gym, fell off eating all because I buried myself at work to get the top position for a company that owns about 10 apartment complexs and I do all the repairs and upgrades mostly myself. Major plumbing, heating, electrical etc. Only a helper I can use for small things. Then, 2020 was my comeback to grow more, fucking pandemic, ugh. No gym for me since February. They opened back up but it's been so hard to get myself back into the grind after so long. But now I got that big money in my salary and secured my worth with the company, I can get back to killing it at the gym. Great job at keeping it together through all your pitfalls bro.

Thanks bro, i can relate to the job, i do similar work myself doing home renovation and repairs. I do a lot of custom bathrooms and work alone mostly because i have high standards for my craftsmanship and quality of the finished product. Leave the house when the sun comes up and come home when its getting dark, then off to the gym and back home to cook my food for dinner and the next day. Breakfast is a meal shake consisting of 46g protein, 77g carbs, 13g fats. I've been doing this schedule for the last 9 years straight. Consistency is key my bro. "Never miss a meal or a workout " i heard branch warren say this many years ago and i try my best to live out that quote. Even after i tore my triceps tendon, i was back in the gym next morning training legs. I continued to train my un injured side and legs after surgery and now 16 months later im better than i was before. I hope i encourage you to keep the "no matter what" and "suck it up and drive on" mentality in all your endeavors in life in the gym and out my friend.

The encouragement is there indeed. I started with remodeling kitchens and bathrooms and changed to this for something different. I still do kitchens for some of our apartments and I also like doing the work myself because I know it's right. That used to be my same routine. Work 8am, home about 530-6pm, eat a small pre-workout meal, gym at 7 until 8ish. More food, shower, bed, rinse and repeat next day for 4 years, no matter what. Made drastic changes then fell off smh. I think when I hit a plateau for a year no matter what I did, I kinda wanted to take a "break". Well that went too long. I'm trying to get back to being more active on here to give myself that fire I once had. Like if I post up some progress pics, it will give me something to strive for to keep doing better. I look at my pics on here that I posted and think damn, I actually looked like that smh Lol. I do have to pick your brain on a taboo subject sometime in the near future in pm

Thanks bro. I try and try to get larger but have hit a ceiling in the latter years. Im going to focus my energy on just staying same size same weight but shredded

Big Tone36's picture

True story bro. I stay away from doing crazy heavyweight these days with back being the exception, i can't press heavy because tendon injuries in the elbows included complete tear last year, and my knee tendonitis lower back hurts to much to go crazy on legs. 315lbs 20 reps on squats is crazy as i go. Leg press still kinda heavy 20-22 plates

Rear delts lookin sick!

Big Tone36's picture

Thanks my guy. Yes my shoulders were always my greatest body part. People ask me how i train shoulders and my answer is simple. Seated barbell press, side lateral with dumbells, bent over rear delt flys with dumbbell, front raises, upright rows, reverse upright rows, shrugs. Heavy with good form. Never trained with cables. Unfortunately since i tore my tricep tendon i cannot press heavy anymore but i learned to make adjustments and use hammer strength machine. Nice lat spread in your avartar bro.
