+ 6 Let the Games Begin

ad

Summer is practically here! Update on current cut - down 10ish lbs over 8 weeks.
I am 6'6. I was sitting around 263-265 at the peak of my offseason (December). Currently sitting around 253-255.
Goal: get the abs poppin for summer - I am thinking the body weight may be around 240ish.

Current Diet/Training:
Since the start of the New Year, including the before picture I have been eating roughly 3,100-3,400 calories daily. When I started cutting I decided to keep the food the same and increase cardio. For the month of Feb I made it a goal to do 30 minutes of steady state cardio everyday (210min/wk). That would usually be fasted or post workout. To say the least, it was successful! Since then, I have backed off to 30 minutes 6 days a week (180min/wk). Goal HR for cardio is around 140-150 bpm. I lift 5 days a week and currently my split is Upper Body (big compounds, 8-10 reps), Legs, Rest, Push, Pull, Legs, Rest

Cycle Update:
Just finished up week 6 of 280 test, 200 mast. Titrating up doses, headed to 350 test, 250 mast and 30mg anavar preworkout likely for the next 6 weeks. Then I will re-evaluate and go from there.
I started 25mcg T3 last week and now 50mcg this week to test the waters (first time trying T3) - I have noticed my hunger has increased as the dose has increased. Also, on 50mcg I noticed the increase in body temperature. 25mcg was unnoticeable.

You should add npp for the last 6 weeks and see tremendous results

What would be a good starting dose? 150-200mg per week? Or 300?

press1's picture

I'd go for 420mg/wk (60mg ED), If you tolerate 19nors well then 1ml ED is great for pretty much everything.

300 is a good dose for getting the 3d delts

I’m running NPP now I got to take some pics but I’m like the biggest I have ever been

Great work bro!! How do you like anavar?

bigred250's picture

It’s great! I tried it once during my bulk phase and it made me weaker bc my pumps were so hard it hurt lol. Now that I’m cutting tho it’s nice bc it lets me get a decent pump on low carbs. Also brings some fullness so I don’t feel like a string bean haha @MurderHornet2020

Great job

Definitely got bigger buddy! Didn't you use to be more powerlifting focused?

Yeah that’s true. I used to do more strength stuff but my body just couldn’t handle that kind of stress so i stopped that. No fun being injured due to an ego lift.

I get ya mate, gets to the point where you think why am I doing this lol Interesting to see how you've put so much more weight on and look a tonne better by changing your training style - I keep wondering lately if I should just bloody do this LOL

Holy smokes. Looking at your post from 6-9 months ago to now, is a crazy transformation. We’re you also consistently trading up to that point like 9 months ago? Or We’re you just like messing around in the gym before that and then really took it up a notch 6-9 months ago? Either way, you look great and it shows a lot of hard work bud

I have definitely always been consistent over the years with training 5 days a week and I’ve tracked calories since the beginning when I was natty. also keep in mind I have a massive frame which can take longer to fill out.

What really changed was taking more sets to failure over this last year. I used to be more on the side of how Jeff Nippard trained and I threw that crap out the window. I gotta say Sam Sulek changed my perspective on how hard you actually gotta train. I’ve been hammering a higher rep range 12-15s. Rest times 90 seconds. Chasing the pump. Keeping the intensity high.

Something else implemented in the offseason was throwing in 2 week mini-cuts to maintain insulin sensitivity and stay leaner. Over the 4 months I did 2 mini-cuts.

I’ve been thinking about doing the mini cuts, exactly for insulin sensitivity. I’m a smaller framed guy, tall but skinny so I’m basically always bulking and I think I need to start cutting my carbs periodically to reset everything

I could feel the difference after adding the carbs back in. What I did is when it was time for a rest I would cut my carbs in half for 2 weeks. So if I had built up to 500g carbs a day then I would do 250g for 2 weeks. It definitely helps and it ensures that the bulk doesn’t get out of hand.

That was an issue I had in the past is bulking to hard or just never being lean enough to properly bulk. This past year I actually took all of the fitness guru advice on actually getting to 10-12% bf before starting a bulk and the results speak for themselves.

Ya bro you look phenomenal, I’m definitely gunna start doing the mini cuts, or just modify my carbs. I feel like ill get super lean fast too, because I’m used to so many carbs, once I remove the carbs I’ll probably just lean out quickly until my body gets used to low carbs

Damn bro you’re a giant! You look like an athletic freak, please tell me you aren’t one of them tall white boys that can’t dunk!!

bigred250's picture

Thankfully I can dunk although I’m not to the point of throwing it down like an NBA star haha - however that is a goal of mine this year! Just got back into hoopin recently so that’s a side goal to getting leaner
