I'm in - 8-years no workouts but ready to go

In the spirit of clarity, here it is, hanging sides and all, the smallest 'getaway stix' I have ever had (since passing puberty). But, I've got three weeks back in the gym, a fully loaded creatine monohydrate and solid plans for my first program come March 1st if I can get everything in place. BMI: 31.8 (100kg/5'10.5") BF: 23.61 (declaring a 40" waste)

Thumbs up from me for posting the before look on your journey! That type of humility and strength will take you far. And clearly it is easy to see your muscle maturity underneath your BF. A lot of geniuses around here with priceless info for getting in shape, I hope you benefit from them as I have. Good luck brother!!

Id hold off first cycle at least 6months. Musvles grow faster than connective tissue and with 8 years off...you're setting yourself up for a torn ligament. Gotta build slowly, daily bro. One cycle is 6months natty growing in just a few Weeks. Also, if.muscles aren't fully trained and rearing to go, you won't gain as well either. It's like adding nitro to a Ford pinto. Your body wont process it properly.

Yes, you have a good base started. Keep going hardcore. Glucosamine to beef up them joints. Hold off a while to avoud injury.

If you give it some time to condition everything you'll get much better results and be much less likely to tear anything

And the food gurus can have him in fighting weight quickly.

yea bro i fucked up my shoulder bench pressing because of this take it slow at first.

OmNom's picture

I do rotatorcuff exercises before any pull up, bench, or shoulder press and I've never injured my shoulder since

Shoulders and lower back seem to be the common ones. After 8 years off...this guy needs a good restart Smile

Cramps?

And you'll get there...just keep working. There's big differences though as you move from machines to free weights. Free weights after a few months machines and reps will again boost you up. Free weights is where the joints will really strengthen because all those lil muscles struggle for balance.

Looks like a good base to start with.Have fun getting back into shape.Just be ready for some sabotage from the woman.Every time I start losing weight my woman buys me bags of peanut butter cups and twizzlers.lol

Hey brother, +1 for having the balls to post a few pics. Take some time, learn, dial in the diet, and work your ass of in the gym and you should be able to get some serious growth without compounds for quite a while.
This is a great place to start. Good luck bro.

The base is there bro, just chip away at it. Won't take no time at all. Look at the changes some people made in 2 months in the EBC. Just gotta do it, then your kids will be showing your pic to their friends!
