I'd try using one of those sublingually about 45-60 minutes pre workout on workout days only instead of just taking it at a higher dose orally for a set amount of time. I've found var to be more effective that way and you can generally run it longer as it isn't as hard on your internal organs so long as you aren't working out 6-7 days a week.
