I have been fighting terrible acne on my neck, chest and back for a little over a year. Finally after trying every cream, lotion and antibiotic the derm could prescribe he put me on accutane. I cannot wait to get my soft clear skin back.

What's you're dosage? Mine was 80mg a day for 6 months.
Mine is the same. Did it clear you up and if so how long till you had noticeable results?
I'd say it got worse for a couple of weeks, but it was noticeably clearer after 6 weeks then after 16 weeks it looked great, and 20 weeks I was completely clear. I probably should have done another month, but I was really happy with the results. I relapse alittle while on cycle but nothing terrible.
I did have some sides. I was incredibly tan in January it makes your skin incredibly sensitive to the sun and very very dry. My lips were chapped so much they bled. Get some face sunblock (I think neutrogena makes some a good non breakout formula), cetaphil lotion for your skin, and some chap-stic with sunblock, and use them every single day especially if you are in the sun. You will thank me for it. Also, you can absolutely not drink or do a heavy cycle while on accutane. I wouldn't cycle any AAS unless it was natural supplementation of test, because your liver just can't take it. Seriously don't drink! Maybe one or two beers a week, and take liver support and vitamins.
I hear you about the chapstick and sunblock. I have only been on for 5 days today and my face and lips are already very dry. I have been using vitamin e lotion and blistex every few hours.I am so tired of this acne i wish i wouldnt have to wait 5 months to get clear. I may never use AAS again after this, its very frusturating.
You'll be much happier in a few weeks if the sides aren't too bad. Don't worry buddy i've been through it and its tough but the results are pretty miraculous. I only break out on cycle, but not anywhere close to as bad. I'd say less than a third of my teenage years. I get one or two everynow and then off cycle, but i remain pretty damn clear. It's a very surprising drug. Also, always take it with food ALWAYS its tough on the stomach.
