This sounds crazy, but my wife had some serious bruising after surgery & got some ARNICARE cream. I thought it was hocus pocus BS but it really helped with topical pain & reduced bruising quickly. I bought the first tube at GNC, then found it at Wal Mart for $2 less. It was with deep heat & muscle rub stuff
After an injury it's important to rest the injured muscle, sometimes for up to two or three weeks before you can return to sports after your injury.Rest, apply Ice and Compression. Elevate the leg if possible. Anti-inflammatory s can be helpful to reduce pain and inflammation. Start to stretch the muscles once the pain and swelling subsides. After if the stretching doesn't aggravate begin to strengthen the muscle such as light stiff legged dead lifts and very light leg curls. Emphasis on light with higher reps. Increase weight slow and gradual. Also use a thigh wrap to support the muscle while beginning the rehab.
thank you for the info man! i have been resting and icing while i am not at work and keep it elevated when i go to bed. unfortunately i am on my feet all day while at work so i have been wraping it with those ace bandages which helps a lot. planning on taking it easy, beside what i have to do at work. sucks this happened right when i began my cycle. just took my 2nd shot of my cycle tonight. guess i'll be hammering my upper body for my first cycle. i need to find a better wrap for when it comes time to actually start working my hammy again.
Anonouch! gh will speed that healing up. goes without saying, i'm sure, but take it easy on that leg for a while
Rest. I suffered two stage three tears back in the summer. Looked well twice as bad as that basically. You've just for to take it easy. Ice, no heat. Heat will actually increase the blood pulling in the area. Are you running any gear now? I swear mine healed way quicker than normal because I was on cycle at the time.
just started my gear monday suppose to take my 2nd shot today. also this is my 1st cycle...hope my gear helps speed up the healing process. looks like i wont be doing legs for awhile.
