ad

Would like to get some feedback on if I should diet down and compete or make more improvements. Quads, hams, & calves are behind upperbody so symmentry is off. Currently weighing between 188-193 at 5'5. Not sure what bf%. I know my calves and legs suck so u will not hurt my feeling so please give your feedback. thanks

cut back your salt intake you have some bloating going on bro,if you're on enthate or cypionate switch to propionate that helps tremendously.besides that fact you look terrific! keep up the great work

Looking good kipp! deff some bloat going on.... not sure what from. body fat doesnt really look high at all.. looks more like water to me. Need to puff up those traps i think.... and try and bring up forearms to match those cannons....as far as hamstrings one of my go to exercises is dumbell leg curls.... the pinching motion with your feet plust curling the weight obliterates inner hamstrings if done properly.used as a secondary exercise of course.

kippp, might I suggest you take a look into Dante Trudel's stuff on training calves. I have heard many good reports from people looking to bring them up using his stuff.

I'm not sure what kind of mirror you're looking in but you look pretty fucking good to me. Diet down bro, you'll be suprised at how good you really look.

Hey mate the only way you will know for sure is to diet down for a comp. Give it a crack and take the plunge. You should be ok. When you are dieted down then you will be able to make a better judgement n what areas you are really lacking.

Trying to decide what contest I should do if I'm going to diet down. Might as well get on stage. Thanks

Bro ill go ahead an tell you, To get a REALLY GOOD sense of where your lagging your going to need to drop your BF. I know it sucks especially when you think you might still have to bulk but you will be suprised at how much bigger and fuller your muscles will look with that extra seperation. Your huge the only things i can say without seeing you in person or with a lower BF is you need just a little more low back work on your lumbars to help tie in on that thick back(then again they could be bigger and me not be able to see it because men tend to carry alot of fat on thier low back) and like they said some hamstring work. Id seriously just go on a little diet to drop your BF so you can make an even more honest assesment of where your at development wise.

I was thinking of dieting down just to see how I looked. I thought if I'm dietng just go ahead and do a show. I'll diet down and go from there. Thanks for the input.

For hammies try doing some stiff legged deadlifts. Seems to stimulate muscle deeper than traditional leg curls for me. For calves you have high calves which is the same problem I have. To gain mass I have to cut reps back to 8-10 and go heavier. That 10 is basically to failure so you have to play with the weight. Otherwise you look great. Nice small joints.

kippp's picture

I'll try stiff legged deadlifts and cut down on the reps for calves. Should I do hams on the same day as quads? Thanks for the input.

Agreed

First off youre a beast. I can see your squat work, but what do you do for you hamstrings. Im no BB pro, I just expect more rips and splits on your hammys and calves.

Seated & lying leg curls 5 sets ea, 12 to 15 reps. Single standing leg curl 5 sets ea, 12 to 15 reps. Walking lunges with dumbbells. Seated and standing calf raises for 5 sets ea. I try to get 45 reps ea sets (15 with feet out, 15 feet in, & 15 straight). Recently switched to doing hams separate from quads to see if I can get more growth. Open to suggestion.
