+ 8 Fake T3 exposed (twice)
All I want to show with this is that even respected UGL brands do sell CERTAIN compounds that are fake. T3 generally is a very hard compound to manufacture as it is not symmetrical and I suppose that many more UGL T3s are bunk. So please guys, when you use medicine that you need for general health (e,g. the finasteride I was using once from BP also turned out bunk) do blood tests, esp. if you plan on relying on them for years, as you might either be using something completely different or something that is not accurately dosed.
Generally I think a nonthyroid patient should NEVER run T3 as it can be a very dangerous compound that even in small doses often suppresses TSH which might lead to thyroid atrophy over time. So regardless what anyone thinks of using T3, I am on a combination therapy of T4 and T3 because of familial hypothyroidism (everyone in my family other than my dad has it) and treating my thyoid the way I do has improved my life immeasurably and like no other compound or dietary or lifestyle intervention. My endo is cool with me using both and I get very regular blood tests for basically everything.
My protocol as to treating my thyroid is 40mcg T4 and 40mcg T3 per day (the T3 split in 4 doses 6h apart), so a full replacement dose.
So I am located in Europe and Cytomel is not available in my country so I have ordered Tiromel from Roidbazaar. I am VERY healthconscious and monitor everything (RR, glucose, body temperature, pulse ect.).
The following happened: I was running out of T3 (very dumb idea) and I needed to get some T3 fast.
Due to a bad experience with UGL in the past, I generally use only pharma grade for everything.
But I was running out of T3 and I happened to have both some alpha pharma T3 and some T3 from Balkan Pharmaceuticals from about a year ago in my basement. If you would like to know the source I ordered them from, please pm.
So as I want to make sure it is accurately dosed, I did blood tests for both, and it turn out both were fake and didn´t contain any T3 whatsoever.
As you can see in the pictures, the elevated level is 4h after 25mcg Tiromel which is pharm grade and the lower results are both 4h after BP T3 and alphapharma T3 respectively (the levels shown is the residual T3 from the day before, which has a half life of about 22h).

You ever thought of running a desiccated thyroid product? I have subclinical hypothyroidism and so generally don’t treat it except when cutting. As that’s when it tends to get significantly worse. And rather than use levothyroxin and tiromel/t3) I used a dedicated thyroid product which I find superior in effect. Happy to chat in PM if you like.
Unfortunately I have never tried NDT myself, I have heard good things though. Perhaps I will try that in the future with perhaps adding in some synthetic T3 on top, as I love the stimulatory nature of small doses T3 throughout the day, it also seems to be good for cortisol and mine is rather lowish (lower third with very high transcortin for some reason) due to very intense 3 years I had before last year, which somehow seemed to have caused some sort of HPA dysfunction and I am still recovering, hence the T3, which basically gave me my life back if you so will. But I was thinking actually the other day to substitute 1 grain NTD instead of my morning dose (which is 40mcg T4 and 10mcg T3, which is almost exactly 1 grain), although from an endocrinological perspective I can´t see a difference between synthetic and natural, I know though that many swear by it. No. Frankly I don´t care. I really trust both sources (not the manufacturers anymore) and I am sure that they have no clou that the T3 they sell is bunk, as both BP and alpha have many other genuinely good stuff it seems. All I wanted to do was remind people, that it could be dangerous to rely on UGL stuff for medication they really need, even though pricewise it might be very tempting.
As I said, T3 is a very hard compound to manufacture, so I challenge everyone that runs UGL T3 to do a blood test for fT3 a few hours after dropping (it should be significantly elevated all day)
bro.... t3 is also known to degrade over time.... maybe u should not use t3 that uve had sitting around for years and expose sources.... u should order fresh batches, and compare bloodwork... this seems a lil like jumping the gun... I used Balkan t3 a few months ago and loved it
actually the the expiry date of the alpha pharma is 2020.
Also my basement is cool (10-15 year round) and salts are generally very stable and do not lose potency (even just slightly after YEARS being past the expiry date). A reduction of potency from 100 to 90% is not acceptable by the medical community.
Yes I am just guessing it might contain either T4 or perhaps a small dose of clen or something although this is just speculation. A blood test is often more accurate then "what our body tells us" as there are usually just soo many variables we play around with all at the same time. Trust me, the sources were very reputable sources here and I have not exposed them, I just exposed the manufactureres. If you don´t believe me next time do a fT3 test yourself.
I'm gna PM u, my family and my girls family both have thyroid issues.... but I agree the degradation is not acceptable but it's true, enhanced athlete did a video on how degrading t3 can throw off your blood test numbers like crazy, obviosly ur numbers are accurate, but we both had a great reaction to t3 from Balkan just 2 months ago
