+ 13 End of bulk at 242, beginning of prep 16 weeks out
Here is my front relaxed, finished long and mostly productive off season. i am about 242 in this picture at 5'11. i was about 10lbs heavier, but i got a bad flu about 2 weeks ago and was uanble to eat much for 2 days followed by 2 days of very minimal food. i was about 251 before that. i was disappointed with this as i was feeling like i had made some great improvements, then i got sick. still better than my starting point last year.
my biggest issue with my physique has been my inability to get my arms to really grow, specifically my bi's. i have tried most everything you could think of. lifting them more frequently, lifting them less frequently, lifting heavy, lifting lighter with stricter form and more time under tension, straight sets, super setting bi's and tris, giant sets, etc etc.
anyways i love bodybuilding and am really excited to get this prep underway. time to bow my head down and get to work and let my physique (with small arms) do the talking. what i lack in mass you can be damn sure ill make up for in condition. started my prep cycle yesterday, 16 weeks out.

Jbrit1212Hey try doing 36's. otherwise known as 21s but with 12 reps at each point instead of 7. So 12 one third of rhe way up, 12 halfway, 12 full. start heavy and go down to light until u can't do anymore. Your biceps will be screaming but you'll love it and those bad boys will grow. Btw you look good man its not like u need it you r very proportionate but if u feel u need it then this will do the trick
thanks for the tip, gave them a try and got a great pump, will defiantly start including these. with the higher reps from the 21's i was able to focus on the squeeze more.
Lats looking great brother! Don't get discouraged about your arms, you have long muscle bellies in your biceps and it's hard to gauge overall growth. They look fine and do not make you look less proportional. +1 good luck at the show
Your legs and lats look great! Keep up the good work man. +1
Thanks J!
Looking good. My friends said you can try inject Igf-1 Des locally in arms.
Looking great brother! Im in agreement with brother Catalyst! In your other pic your arms are very proportionate to your upper body! Home pictures are very deceiving! Improper lighting, hazy shadows and a misaligned camera lens greatly misinterpret the subject! I never think I look good in most pictures!
That being said you possess a beautifully muscled and symmetrcal physique! +2 for great things lie on your horizon! Much respect and keep grinding!
Thanks for the perspective Theo, i am my own worst critic sometimes.
We all are brother SlowBro! It's actually a gift for it catapauts us to higher levels of excellence! :))
Whilst I can see what you're saying about your arms, having looked at another pic of you I think it's just a bad shot of you. I've looked at it three or four times and you look all out of balance here. Then I look at one of your other shots and I'd not even consider the same feedback. Just not a flattering shot of you in my opinion. Blame the photographer ;)
yeah its true my front relaxed doesnt showcase my arms well, they do look better in other shots. i thought this pic showcased the overall package (legs, chest, bodyfat, lats) better thats why i chose it. i could have uloaded a few shots i guess
thanks for the input Cat!
That's part of it too. Your legs and lats look real strong, making your arms look inferior. The joys of posing eh?
AnonYour tall just like me so I'm going to assume your muscles are more elongated. Concentration curls are where its at from personal experience. A lot of concentration. They will grow I PROMISE you that. Also don't forget your tris are 2/3d's of your arm so pound them bastards out. But you look great and keep up the good work!! Look forward to the progress pics.
i dont do concentration curls right now in my training, so ill definatly add them in and hope for some growth. and good point about tris, my tris are lightyears ahead of my bis. thanks for the tips!
TryHarder007im a tall guy too and actually sitting at 206 12 weeks out. ill be 20 still by show time so juniors and open for me BUT anyways lol
tips for arms that persoanlly help:
start your workout with reverse curls or hammers. really use the energy you start with to really get your arms thick that for me helped alot in growth because of such long arms. secondly, meadow curls. John meadows is a GENIUS, look them up. you use a cable on the bottom part. then take a seated bench and put it infront of the cable and face away from the cable. lean over so your chest is resting on your seated bench. and use the cables to curl each arm but this way youre getting a HUGE stretch as if youre doing incline curls. look them up on youtube or PM me and ill link you it!
lastly: superset biceps and triceps together. literally blew my arms up when i started to do that!!!! my favorite is reverse ez bar curls and skull crushers!:)
thanks for the suggestions. i watch alot of meadows stuff too, awesome guy.
rocketballzInsane lats bro! +1
lol thanks bro.
Looks like you got some long ass arms. Training them less frequent didn't do anything for you huh. Good luck Slow! +2
