+ 4 December blood work
ad
Stopped Test, DHB, EQ cycle early due to iron deficiency issue. Dropped test down to TRT dose but started to feel real crappy and felt like estro tanked. Upped dose slightly to 300mg per week and sitting there until procedure is done end of January to see whats causing the iron deficiency. Test and GH only for now.
Results are what i expected.

pickle read this to understand the why for the tests your dr ordered
https://www.mja.com.au/journal/2010/193/9/diagnosis-and-management-iron-...
Colo and endo went smooth, biopsies came back normal. Waiting to hear from doctor on next steps.
+2 for bloods
Thank you fuse.
I join Jayisk, what kind of procedure?
Curius the normal range for blood sugar, from 65 to 139 ... in Europe the maximum value is 110, often it is indicated 100...
That's a non fasting reference range as stated on the test results. Fasting reference range is lower 65-99 mg/dL.
Colonoscopy and endoscopy. Not sure on the blood sugar, my knowledge on the topic is limited.
Your doc is trying to figure out the cause of your anemia... blood loss. That's why more women have iron deficiencies due to blood loss from menstrual cycle. So he's going in looking for peptic ulcers, bleeding polyps, etc. He's also looking for gastrointestinal diseases like celiac, ulcerative colitis, crohn, etc
When was the last time you gave blood?
Do you take any type of antacid meds? Has your Dr ruled out malabsorption?
Thanks for the info MegaT. Have not donated blood in months, 4 months ago was my last i believe. Once we noticed the iron deficiency i stopped. Did more blood work 3 months later and no change so it was not from the donations.
No antacid meds, doc has not ruled out malabsorption. How would you test for that?
I went back and looked at all your blood tests it's not malabsorption. Pickle are you still taking slowfe? This has been going on for what..over 5 months now. You did have some improvement from taking the slowfe. Why you stopped?
I took slowfe for about 3 days but it did not sit well, seemed to go right through me if you know what i mean. I had donated blood 2 weeks prior to my doctors first testing so she had me stop the slowfe and wait 3 weeks before more testing to see if it was the donation that caused it. Never started back up on it.
C'm on bro, the colonoscopy is not the best exam ... try exactly to perform the preparation for examination, you will not have problems and will be much faster!
Good luck
Good E2 numbers considering how high your test. is. +1
Thanks man
jayisk"until procedure is done end of January to see whats causing the iron deficiency."
What type of procedure are you scheduled for?
Colonoscopy and endoscopy
jayiskColonoscopy..,yes my favorite. I had 5 done so far and the last one the asshole dr. claimed it was a partial one and just used a local not the good stuff that killed Michael Jackson that knocks you out.
So he stuck what felt like his fist up my ass to apply a local and then proceeded to due a full colonoscopy without sedation or pain meds.
The actual scoping isnt bad as long as they knock you out with propofol.
What i hated the most was the prep before. only liquids and shit like jello then nothing to eat or drink and a laxative to completely clean you out.
had a few endo's done also.
Hope all turns out well. Oh and get wet wipes cause toilet paper isnt going to cut it once the laxative kicks in ;}
Yikes!!! That last one does not sound fun. Im not looking forward to it. I read the prep instructions and i basically cant eat anything for 48 hours before. How the hell did you get through that? I cant go more than a few hours without needing food before i tear someones head off.
Luckily we have young kids so our house is stocked with baby wipes, sounds like they are going to come in handy.
Thanks for the advice brother, take care.
jayiskthe fasting sucked esp. if i was a patient in a hospital at the time and i was eating hospital food to begin with.
For the laxative tell them you want to use a bottle of lemon-lime Magnesium Citrate. Taste good and goes down quick. they may want you to take some Dulcolax Laxative Tablets with it.
IF not they give you this huge jug of Golytely that takes very salty and a lot to drink. click on images https://www.webmd.com/drugs/2/drug-3728/golytely-oral/details
that compared to the Magnesium.
https://www.walmart.com/ip/Equate-Magnesium-Citrate-Saline-Laxative-Lemo...
Looks like they gave me Gavilyte-C and Dulcolax with the scripts already filled and ready for pick up. Going to be a fun few days sitting on the golden thrown.
jayiskYou'll be "pissing out your ass.., literally."
Check in when you are trying to drink that stuff. That me know how you are doing.
The actual test is the easy part.
Pounds23Be carful with the ducalax it will cramp you up really bad if u do the magnissium
Pounds23U literally aren't kidding magnissium citrate is no joke
That sounds wonderful LOL
I will let you know when i start the prep. Thanks for the support jayisk.
jayiskNo problem. I just loved the process..,not at all!
2 days of clear liquids and jello, then a laxative and no food, and finally someone sticks something up your ass while you're unconscious (no homo)..,lol
Sure the doctor didnt put it in those terms.
but it is a good procedure to have to rule out several srs health issues.
Reading through the prep instructions again it has me take the Dulcolax at 4pm and start downing a half gallon of Gavilyte at 6pm the night before the procedure. Great so on top of everything im now going to be spending the entire night on the shitter getting no sleep. lol
Also....it looks like they just give me happy juice via IV and dont actually knock me out. JOY
jayiskPretty sure the Gavilyte is the same as Golytely. Its not a bottle..,, its the size of a container of anti-freeze..lol
The worse part.., besides having to consume so much.., is it is extremely salty tasting.
Thats why I like using the Magnesium Citrate which is like a pint and taste good. plus the Dulcolax.
They always used the propofol on me. except the one time i told you the dr raped me and gave me nothing.
The propofol once they are ready start the IV running and i dont even thing you make it to a count of 10 and you're out. then they just bring you back around when its over and take you to another room to recover. stay there for like 20 mins. maybe a snack and some apple juice if i remember.
and then i went to a dinner and ate. Napped and ate.., repeat...
Make sure you get a copy of the results from whatever doctor is doing it when they have it. Good for your records and good for you to look over.. the dumb secretary told me my first results where fine.
Until i got a hard copy of the test and it clearly stated I had "c diff colitis."
wasnt a fun time for me.
