+ 4 December blood work

ad

Stopped Test, DHB, EQ cycle early due to iron deficiency issue. Dropped test down to TRT dose but started to feel real crappy and felt like estro tanked. Upped dose slightly to 300mg per week and sitting there until procedure is done end of January to see whats causing the iron deficiency. Test and GH only for now.

Results are what i expected.

Ordered from:

I join Jayisk, what kind of procedure?
Curius the normal range for blood sugar, from 65 to 139 ... in Europe the maximum value is 110, often it is indicated 100...

That's a non fasting reference range as stated on the test results. Fasting reference range is lower 65-99 mg/dL.

Colonoscopy and endoscopy. Not sure on the blood sugar, my knowledge on the topic is limited.

Your doc is trying to figure out the cause of your anemia... blood loss. That's why more women have iron deficiencies due to blood loss from menstrual cycle. So he's going in looking for peptic ulcers, bleeding polyps, etc. He's also looking for gastrointestinal diseases like celiac, ulcerative colitis, crohn, etc
When was the last time you gave blood?

Do you take any type of antacid meds? Has your Dr ruled out malabsorption?

pickle's picture

Thanks for the info MegaT. Have not donated blood in months, 4 months ago was my last i believe. Once we noticed the iron deficiency i stopped. Did more blood work 3 months later and no change so it was not from the donations.

No antacid meds, doc has not ruled out malabsorption. How would you test for that?

MegaT883's picture

I went back and looked at all your blood tests it's not malabsorption. Pickle are you still taking slowfe? This has been going on for what..over 5 months now. You did have some improvement from taking the slowfe. Why you stopped?

pickle's picture

I took slowfe for about 3 days but it did not sit well, seemed to go right through me if you know what i mean. I had donated blood 2 weeks prior to my doctors first testing so she had me stop the slowfe and wait 3 weeks before more testing to see if it was the donation that caused it. Never started back up on it.

C'm on bro, the colonoscopy is not the best exam ... try exactly to perform the preparation for examination, you will not have problems and will be much faster!
Good luck

Yikes!!! That last one does not sound fun. Im not looking forward to it. I read the prep instructions and i basically cant eat anything for 48 hours before. How the hell did you get through that? I cant go more than a few hours without needing food before i tear someones head off.

Luckily we have young kids so our house is stocked with baby wipes, sounds like they are going to come in handy.

Thanks for the advice brother, take care.

Looks like they gave me Gavilyte-C and Dulcolax with the scripts already filled and ready for pick up. Going to be a fun few days sitting on the golden thrown.

That sounds wonderful LOL

I will let you know when i start the prep. Thanks for the support jayisk.

Reading through the prep instructions again it has me take the Dulcolax at 4pm and start downing a half gallon of Gavilyte at 6pm the night before the procedure. Great so on top of everything im now going to be spending the entire night on the shitter getting no sleep. lol

Also....it looks like they just give me happy juice via IV and dont actually knock me out. JOY
