No pip at all actually. I was worried about the pin clogging because I've heard bad things about it. I heated the amp up in a pot with water about 1/3 of the way up the amp. Had to be really careful doing that since there is no vent there's a possibility of the amp rupturing. Than I shook it for a min. Opened amp and pinned. No clogging issues or pip at all. Granted this is only one experience so take it for what it's worth brother
