+ 17 A year of no cycling

ad

Been cruising on kodiak test the past year. Haven’t ran anything over 150 mg a week since last thanksgiving. Just been eating whatever I want and trying to stay strong. Just finished off all of hers and afflictions stuff I had in the drawer.
I’m planning a nice bulk here shortly, and I’m hoping my fresh receptors love it.
I don’t compare to most you beasts out there, but I’m happy with my goals. Slow and steady and maybe one day I’ll catch up to y’all.

Thick as hell, time to put some width on those shoulders and you're gonna be killin it. Plus one from the Beard.

Appreciate it. It’s hopefully coming. Ive really just recently started focusing on the build. For the most part, I’ve only really paid attention to the main compound movements and strength there. I think my calves are an inch bigger than my arms. Gotta tip those scales a bit.

Thanks man. My daughter is starting to date, so it’s time to add another ten solid pounds. An ounce of prevention..... lol

Thanks man.
I’m noticing it’s easier to hold the fat these days. Never had to work at it before. I’m saving the cut for next year though. Gonna try to add some more rounded mass. I want to hit a lean 235. Anything over that, and I snore too much. Happy wife, happy life.

You're looking good, but the scientist in me can't let the "fresh receptor" myth be perpetuated here. It's completely bogus. There is no scientific literature whatsoever to suggest that androgen receptor downregulation or desensitivity occurs due to supraphysiological amounts of steroids being present. It's broscience, 100%. You'll see guys argue this by saying, "well, I always gain better when I blast after cruising with 100 mgs of test than when I blast after cruising on 250 mgs test." Well no shit; you won't hold onto the same muscle mass that you will on 100 mgs that you would on 250 mgs, so of course you'll gain more when you blast. It has nothing to do with "fresh receptors." That's not how it works. This myth needs to die once and for all.

There is nothing showing that androgen receptors down regulate, but it sure as hell is evident that the longer you stay on the slower the gains get, and the longer you stay off staying off the better the gains are when you get back on. And crushing on higher doses yields shitter results when you blast vs running the minimal amount to feel good. These are all personal experience and those of other. I usually cruise but was told to come off everything by someone who has this down to a science and he was right, the gains were pretty crazy. So I get these things like migraines, after a while the medication stops working, there's no reception down regulation but the brain basically finds a way around the medication. So there doesn't have to be down regulation for the same type of thing to occur. The body finds other ways.

Bear in mind, I'm not advocating blasting year round, or even running exorbitant cruise amounts. Stalls in gains can be due to anything. Poor diet. Poor (or no) programming. Overreaching. Even stress. Sometimes a trainee just needs a deload. And a proper program with heavy compounds and a progression scheme written in. Gains are supposed to be slow and steady. A lot faster on gear, yes, but still steady and tempered. A lot of guys just expect too much too soon. If gains are crazy, then they're likely going bye-bye when the dose goes down. It's cliche, but building muscle, strength, and fitness is indeed a marathon, not a sprint.

Makes sense to me. One of those bro things you get in your head. I really just took some time off to rebuild some cartilage and stabilize a bit.
40 is approaching in a little over a year, so I’m planning on hitting it hard and being in the best shape of my life when it happens. I might even give up the donuts and pizza. Lol.

This is interesting Brooklyn because I’ve always heard bro science preaching it but haven’t read any real proof.

I’ve also heard that Tren will always overcome the other compounds in a cycle when it comes to receptors.

The tren thing is true. It has an extremely high binding affinity.

Appreciate it man. Not where I want to be, but still pushing for it. In my head I’m still that 170 pound kid out of high school. I’m definitely not the only one with that issue though.
