+ 16 4 years down and 40 lbs gained
When you're looking at yourself every day it's a little hard to notice how far you've come. And then you pull out a photo from when you started. I'm a hair over 6' and started out at 153 lbs. Im currently 195 lbs in the second pic. I know I haven't turned myself into a mass monster. But looking back I'm pretty proud of how far I've come. I started completely natural just doing calisthenics. Ended up doing trt do to low t symptoms /numbers and switching to at home workouts with adjustable dumbbells, a bench and a pull up station. Then finally in the last year or so started playing around with cycling and going to an actual gym. Currently doing a 4 day upper lower split that I've been doing for that entire year and still getting stronger in at least 1 or 2 exercises every workout.
I never plan on stepping on stage or anything. I started all this because I wasn't happy with how I looked or felt and decided to do something about it. Current goal is to lose 10 lbs of body fat and gain 15 lbs of lean tissue. That will put me at a pretty solid 200 lbs. Im aiming to get there in the next year or so. Considering I've put on 25-30 of these lbs in the last 2 years I don't think I'm completely mental with the time frame.

Boom!!
Great work. And this is a good reminder that everyone has a different view of success. Not everyone wants to be a mass monster and that is awesome in my book. You got heart bro. Keep grinding
Imagine what you will look like in another 4 years. I started at 142 pounds so your starting heavier that I did. Keep going dude. I never thought in my life I would hear somebody say wow bill is jacked. I hear it all of the time now
I'm def bigger than most of the guys i see on a daily basis. But with how unhealthy the majority of Americans are that's not the biggest flex in the world. I'd love to get to a physique similar to Christian Bale in American Psycho. Not an insanely huge guy. But def a fair bit of muscle for his size and lean enough to show it all off. I also want to hit those basic strength standards of a 2 plate bench, 3 plate squat and 4 plate deadlift. Considering where im at now and where i started i don't think it's unachievable to hit those numbers in the next 1-2 years.
They aren't that hard to hit mate - you just have to focus more on them in the training session and less on all the smaller exercises and machine work, basically the accessories so to speak. On chest day make Flat Bench press your priority - Do no more than 5 reps per set, 3 to 5 is a good range. Do 3 working sets trying to go as heavy as possible each time, none of this counting the negative down crap and feeling the muscle - go for moving the weight as forcefully as possible. After Bench do Incline Dumbell Bench press which will help build more mass at 8 reps, then do a heavy tricep exercise such as Dips or close grip bench press then do no more. Conserving energy and not burning yourself out every training session will help build power and strength. On Squat Day go heavy again 4 to 6 reps, then do leg press afterwards with 6 to 8 reps. 3 sets for each. Deadlift day do 3 working sets of between 1 to 5 reps, Bodyweight chins or pullups after and dumbbell rows. To get stronger you cannot eat lean all the time, you willl have to builk a bit too to gain strength and plenty of carbs are your friend there along with protein.
I'm already doing 200, 245 and 315 for those lifts. The deadlift is def the furthest out from my goal but it's also been the one to move up in weight the fastest. I'm sure i can hit those numbers if i just keep pushing. Might take another 1-2 years for all of them. But between getting to a solid, relatively lean 200 lbs and hitting those weights i've got my goals for the next 1-2 years Worked out. After that who knows.
Wow that is a vey impressive transformation so awesome well done.
Appreciate it brother. I still think I'm small but I'm not as small as used to be!
anvilWay to build and stay very lean bro.
Thanks man
That’s awesome bro
Keep doing what your doing brother great job
Keep packing on the clean mass. Youve come along way in those pictures. Keep that head held HIGH
Good job man you are looking good! I mean just look at your hands and arms at how much better they look now. This reminds me of my best friend he was only 165 lbs and he did a cycle with test, tren and primo and is now 185 lbs and looks so good.
Thanks man. 20 lbs in 1 cycle is crazy if he kept it all. I'm kinda jealous.
He lost about 6lbs but he is steady now and I force him to attend the gym with me and drink protein.
Hell ya dude. And that’s 40 solid pounds, not fat or water. Stayed super lean the whole time. You can get 15 more solid pounds out of another mild blast or two. .I’d get the last bit of muscle you’re after first, then cut the fat. No need to cut at your current BF.
Pictures are so key in this. It’s what got me hooked. I started at about 125-130lbs, 6ft tall at 21. I just so happened to take a pic right when I started. After 2-3 months of lifting, feeling like I had made zero progress, even though had gained like 20lbs I took another pic and compared them and was in disbelief at how much bigger I had gotten. And I’ve been hooked ever since. Still take pics every few months to compare. Try not to get too caught up in the scale these days. Chasing scale weight has gotten me fat a few times over the years lol.
It really is so hard to notice the changes as you go without a reference to judge from. Every step of the way I kept saying another 10 lbs and I should be good. From 153-165-175-185-195 and every time I get there I'm still thinking it's not enough. So i try to judge by the mirror at this point. I'm doing a slight mini cut for a couple weeks for an unplanned beach trip and then it's back to a slow bulk. After my upcoming trt doc blood work I plan on doing a moderate 16-20 week cycle of either test and eq or test and primo.
So long as I keep making progress I'm happy enough. I don't know that I'll never be completely satisfied with how I look. But that's not necessarily a bad thing.
As a fellow skinny bitch, I applaud the progress. Im in-between pic 1 and 2 currently.
I kinda wish I had taken more pics along the way. Tracking everything and staying consistent have been the most important things IMO. Seeing the increase in reps or weight week over week have been the biggest drivers of me wanting to keep pushing. I don't love going to the gym. But consistently improving myself is something that lights a fire in me.
Skinny bitches unite !!!
Awesome work brother, us slim guys have our work cut out for us! @Black90tsi
I always see the other side here where people post up how much weight they've lost. But pretty much everyone here is supportive of those guys so I figured I'd take the chance and show the other side of the scale.
Hell ya. Well, here in America it's not too hard to find lol
I just came across the stats a few days ago. It's something like 50-60% of US adults are considered obese. It's really disturbing to think about how many people here are grossly overweight. When I was in my mid-late 20s i wasn't staying active, ate crappy and way too much and was drinking to excess basically every day. I got myself up to something like 225-230 lbs of just plain fat. It's so easy to do here. I really think that shaming and teasing need to come back to some extent. Shame can be a great tool to get people to not be such shitbags. There's nothing positive or beautiful about weighing double what you should.
I hear ya bro. That teasing and shaming is a double edged sword though. I was extremely skinny all throughout school but didnt get picked on because I was pretty athletic but many do get picked on. Probably why body dismorphia tends to stick with us skinny bitches a bit more than the hefty humans lol
I think I'd take a bunch of toughened up adults with some left over child hood issues instead of these man babies who can't function in modern society because they were never told no or that sometimes you just need to suck it up and do what you have to do. The future world being run by these over sensitive little twats is going to be rough.
