I know all about expensive ammo. Use to have an Armalite AR-50 and when I sold it, 50 cal rounds were averaging 2-3 dollars a round.
I have a few guns that eat really expensive food. You feel very stupid when you spend $7 to not hit something with .338 lapua. Or my grandfather left me a double rifle in 450-400 nitro express it costs $11 to hurt your shoulder. I will never get rid of it but it's the worst idea. You don't even need it for big game. Rommel killed one of every animal in Africa with a 7.65x17mm Mauser pistol.
