On instagram, @generationironofficial is reporting from a reliable source that rich piana has passed away. what a week this has been for the bodybuilding community. First Dallas, Now Rich. RIP to both guys

I've used some of his supps- always came across of very knowledgable but also very 'free' when it came to suggesting gear and HGH use- I hope it gets reported correctly as to what was the cause of death even if it was gear use. If anyone has seen a toxicology report etc etc I'd be very interested to see what the coroner thinks happened. God bless to all that were close to him. Sad times for the sport

Rip Rich!! Woke up to this news today and I can't say it was a complete shock since he had been in a coma for a while now so I knew there was a chance ofntjis happening but it still hits home and effects a ton of people I know. This right after Dallas McCarver few days ago... just sad and my condolences to family and friends.

Say what you will about his choices, but he was a honest advocate of the sport he lived for. Condolences to his family, way too young to go.
Total loss to many.. Love him or not, Rich was true to his word and said and did what he wanted. Nothing fake about him or what he did. He did live his life to the extreme but that is what made Rich who he was. Nothing but respect I have for him for being who he was. He motivated me to keep going and still to this day. Loved his videos, jokes, comments etc as he let it all out there. RIP Rich and may God bless u and ALL ur loved ones through this tragic time.. MOB....

Wow, that really sucks for everyone in the industry. He was definitely a name that everyone knew whether they liked him or not. I myself wouldn't follow most of his advice. But I did respect the fact that he was open and honest about what he would do.

It's sad because I started appreciating him like two months ago, when I was able to look behind his character. I realized that he was conscious of a lot of things and that he was a good person. I wanted to talk to him one day... Another regret btw...

Yeah, very sad for both guy. But I feel sadder for Dallas. He had just turned 26, way too young.

I was thinking more along the lines of youtubers; the media being ignorant is simply a given at this point. Jason Blaha already exploited Dallas' death before the facts were even out, now I fully expect a scumbag like Vegan Gains to exploit Piana's death, just like he exploited the coma. The monetization of youtube channels really took the fitness vlog world to a dark place.

Blaha is a total weirdo who occasionally surprises me with great content when the vids are science based rather than opinionated. VG, I can't think of a single redeeming quality about him. Just an awful, disgusting person all the way around. With Piana's passing, the list of youtubers whom I enjoy just got spread even thinner.
