Prison is not for punishment in Sweden. We get people into better shape’
ad
Someone posted about the silk road creator being given life in prison and I thought this would be interesting to some folks here. Besides Sweden being all butt hurt over steroid users it seems like a really nice place to live. If you live in the states you probably know how corrupt our prisons and judicial system really are. In the last 4-5 years Sweden has closed 56 prisons... boys I know where we are moving

Swedistan....herregud..that place is so fu***d up these days.
Here's a little story.
My best friend in high school was born in sweden, and still had citizenship over there. After high school finished, he took a gap year while the rest of us went on to university. After that gap year he went back to sweden, and majored in mechanical engineering. For free. Other then the tax being ridiculously high (33%) sweden is a lovely place. Every year around Christmas time I go visit him, and it's really just a lovely place. The roads are stunning to drive on ( if your a car guy). He teaches blacksmithing part time, ironically enough I thought him back in the states during high school. The one complaint he has is their gun laws, it's a bit restrictive and he's a gun lover (as am I).
Ok that wasn't really a good story, more an anecdote. Bottom line is the U.S. could definitely take some notes on how they run things. Oh and right across from them is Denmark, which came in as THE nicest place to live in the world, with the happiest people.
opticxWell Sweden has the steroid laws now right? if you look juiced they will bring you in for a urine test and kick you out of the country. It happened to a very well known bodybuilder a few years back and was the main reason Jay Cutler would never guest pose there. Besides that its amazing, college students also get a a little spending money which is really nice. They work less there per week, have recess even in high school. Longer vacations etc. Its not lazy its just a different way of life, really in america Saturday and Sunday are rest days because just work so damn much and it wouldn't be that big of a deal but everyone over in the states is so stressed out. Stress over long periods of time = elevated cortisol levels = body falls apart literally.
Did you say Blacksmithing? im about to have a nerd moment. I literally joke to people all the time
"Like man if I could just be a sword smith in japan back in the feudal era I would be so happy"
No insurance or credit problems, Id just work all day making weapons with my hands. I say that now but id get burned once and probably just become a archer lol.
