Closing the global postal loophole.

ad

Former Secretary of Homeland Security Tom Ridge wants to close the global postal loophole.

I think it is much easier said than done.

I agree, I doubt that the bill as it stands will even make it out of committee. However I do think. That a scaled version of it will likely be implemented at some point. There's too many agencies that can use the brownie points for "protecting the children" funding can come from the DOJ HHS Homeland security. You can call it a national security issue, a health crisis, the plague of our time, whatever it takes to create that stunning headline and all compounds will be lumped together with narcotics because they don't see the difference. I could totally be wrong too, the postal service is already fighting back. Time will tell

The post office is broke and all of this would take big money. Most of them do not really give a fuck how many junkies dies either.

So I wonder when this bill would be voted on? Really sucks that drug dealers and people trying to get high might in up messing shit up for all the people here that are just trying to lift weights and be healthy.

The bill was just introduced and would have to make it through committee to even be a consideration. It does sting a bit that junkies consistently bugger up everything for everyone.

Meanwhile, these same dangerous drugs are being prescribed every day by crooked doctors but let's not focus on that issue because there's so much fucking money being made. This is just a scapegoat to skirt the real issues. This too shall pass.

Just as it always is. The statement that synthetic opioids are killing our kids negates the fact that prescribed opioids are killing far more.

While there is a massive difference in what we are interested in vs what Tom Ridge sees as a threat to the health of our nations citizens. I can see no reason why he would make the distinction between synthetic opioids and any other substance that is outside the regulatory grasp of the governing bodies. I would expect an increase in seizures since no one will explain the differences between anabolics, synthetic opioids and narcotics and will in fact decry them all as evil while casting a wide net. Brothers and sisters, don't get caught in that net !

It means that the difference between how foreign postal services and private carrier Postal services send packages will soon fall under the same regulations making part of the data base that tracks and controls packages. The security data will allow items to be flagged with ease. No more discretion by personnel, no more hit and miss, no more getting lucky. The scan pops up and your package becomes a dangerous material.
