It's sad. Wheeler is a legend, one of the best Bodybuilders.I hope he can recover soon.
He has long suffered from the problem of legs and blood vessels in particular, and over the past three years, Flex spent in hospitals for about six months and was even in a coma. He also has one kidney removed some time ago..
Yes his leg wasnt getting proper blood flow and it was causing him a lot of pain. Plus he was at the point that the leg could get gangrene and cause him to go septic and die as a result. So the only solution..,same with diabetics.., was to amputated the leg below the knee to keep him alive.
had his leg amputated below the knee. Not a ton of info but something. Crazy he kept deciding to compete and comeback even though he ended with srs health conditions and hospitalized after. The leg was an on going issue and just didnt happen overnight.
He's looked like a very ill guy for a long time, photo's of him over the recent years don't even look like him given how much weight he's lost. He's had all sorts of health issues that have stemmed from all the diuretics he took to compete I believe....
if i remember correctly in one of Stan's "Rhino Rants" from a couple of years ago. he stated that flex decided to have back surgery and it left him with drop foot, numbness in his calve, and a tingling sensation going down his leg. Plus he had a kidney transplant and i thing the vid said in only has one kidney...,wtf man.
then flex goes on to continue to run gear/PED's and train for a comp.
I can understand the addiction to still wanting to train and stay on gear, but to run enough to get back to competition standard just seems crazy when your health is visibly ruined as it is. Surprising to see how out of shape Shawn Ray is also given the bashing he constantly gives others.
supposedly synthol related. who knows
That’s crazy was he diabetic prior to bb or did he give himself diabetes ? Just curious
They amputated his leg...is it supposed to grow back or something?
Damn see ya
