Arms are numb

Ok Sarge let's see what we can come up with for this. I have pain in both shoulders aggravated by Both the Dip machine and using the machine for leg lifts where you rest on your elbows. I have obviously stopped using both of these machines, but my shoulders are still pretty easy to aggravate. I keep a certain amount of numbness all the time but when i sleep weather on my side or my back my arms and hands go numb. The numbness is worst at my pinky fingers and then progresses into the rest of the hand. The other morning the numbness was accompanied by A LOT of pain. My hands are difficult to close and holding a barbell is manageable but difficult. Anything of 40 lbs per hand isn't happening, I can do maybe 8 reps with 40 and it's not my arms that give out but my hands.

Have you had a structural balance assessment of your upper body?

I suspect that your internal/external rotators are imbalanced and pinching a nerve.

8 RM low pulley external rotation should be at least 9.8% of your 1 RM on the bench press.

How much benching have you done over the years?

Just been dealing with it so far it got better when I lowered my hgh from 5 iu to 2.5 iu. the part that sucks is sleeping at night. At this point since I lowered the hgh it is only when I sleep that it happens

It could be your ulnar nerve.. or it could be Thoracic outlet syndrome.. it is commonly misdiagnose as carpal tunnel.. but the main nerve for the pinky is the ulnar nerve... let me know cause I have had shoulder problems for years n it took 2 surgries n 13 yeaers to find out I have TOS.. u have a bundle of 3 nerves n blood vessels that start in your neck n it goes through ur collar bone clavicle area n sometimes an extra rib or a slipped rib pinches on it n other times it can be building to much muscle where there isn't enough room for it to get through with out pinching it... a simple test to see if u may have it is hold ur hand or hands above ur head for a 2mins n if u get numbness and tingling and loss of color then u could have that.. it can b very mild to like mine a severe case where surgery is needed n it is a long recover process about a year.. anyways if u have any more ?s ask me I know a lot about this as I have went through it and I am in physical therapy school.. best of luck. That's why I was wondering about tb 500...

As sgtstedanko said, sounds like nerve damage. I had something similar... hurt my neck somehow, and procrestinated seeing my chiropractor for a few weeks. It got so bad that my whole right arm got numb and tingly, to a point that it was half paralyzed, so I could only bench 1/2 my weight. I finally saw my chiropractor, he adjusted it a couple of times. Still took me a coulpe of weeks to get back to 100%, but that did the trick!
Having said that, I don't trust any chiropractor! I use the ones that are NUCCA certified; they specilize in neck adjustment, and the good ones don't even crack your neck. Been going to one for 8 years now.
Good luck bro!

I don't know for certain g. Sorry... I'd say, see s sports doc, for X-ray, mri, ultrasound. Fucking anything & everything, bubba. Numbness, sounds like possible nerve damage. I've had/have, bicep, rotator cuff tendinitis, dislocated shoulder. But no lasting numbness. pullups, light weight rear lateral raise, to strengthen the surrounding muscles. Then, Ice it, & aspirin, bubba

The median nerve provides feeling and movement to the "thumb side" of the hand (the palm, thumb, index finger, middle finger, and thumb side of the ring finger).

You see mine is different it starts with my little fingers and then moves to the rest of the hand.

You think? Hmmmmmm that's gonna suck any cures?
