StevebNo, single payer is always more expensive. Real free market will create competition in price. You can take the word of Jonathan Gruber, one of,the main creators of Obamacare. He said it was designed to be more expensive. Also if it's so good why did everyone in Congress want to be exempt from it.

It's coming buddy, it'll be yuge. Free markets are great for certain things, Healthcare isn't one of them.
StevebIt's not a charity. Free market will and has always driven prices down. Single payer will ration healthcare and make you wait longer for certain treatments like it has in every country that has it.

Sure, times will go up for non-life threatening visits. Everything else however will not. Premiums will be down, coverage will increase, etc etc.

StevebSocial security is doing a good job at abolishing itself. Financial institutions backed by government will continue to give loans to people who can never pay it back and increase debt forever. The military is around 60 percent waste. You were supposed to bring up good examples of government run programs not ones that help prove my point.

Social security isn't abolishing itself. It's not being run properly, sure, but are you saying you'd rather not have social security at all?
The military has waste, as does any industry, but it's nowhere near 60%. What's the alternative, militias, private defense (lol, wait till you see waste my friend).

Well, I am glad it failed but I am still pissed off at the whole health insurance situation in this country.
It's crazy how much premiums are increasing I think a single payer is the way to go.
I agree. It will be painful at first I am sure but it is the only way left.

There saying ins in Fla will increase 45 percent this year. I'm sure other states will follow. It would be easier for most people to pay the tax increase.
We cancelled last year. First time in my life without health insurance. It was 10k a year for shitty coverage on three of us. So I pay the fine now.
Talk to your accountant come tax time. Mine just says I paid the fine, doesn't deduct it from my returns.
I own a business and this last year my regular accountant had my returns fucked up so I had to pay another accountant to amend my return.
Ah fucking A. This is why I hate tax time, everyone claims to be the best thing since sliced bread and then file your taxes in blue Crayola crayons. Did you at least get a refund for the services of the first accountant?
Well, the second one got me about 3500 back of the 20k I had to pay. He suggested not going back on the other one. Plus the other one still does my payroll so until I find a replacement on that front I am kind of stuck with them. Hopefully this winter
Hope so man. Every company I've worked for, sans one, always had terrible accountants doing payroll. One company I worked for was actually more tech savvy and subbed the whole thing out to a company that uses an app to track time and all of that. Ended up being the least amount of headache for everyone.
The last two years I worked I had to pay a luxury tax on my health card. They decided it was a Cadillac plan. We always had 100 percent coverage in our contracts. Total bullshit. Nobody looks out for the middle class.
