I'm on a man made rocky lake that runs 100' plus almost everywhere in some places 200'plus. Had no luck since early June, then I started goin out at night. I'll drop submersible green lights over the side and wait about an hour while anchored in 40' of water between the open water and shore, preferably a point. When the moon comes up you'll have swarms of shad circling your boat, THEN drop dead goldfish on large crappie hooks down between 25-30'. Be careful the bites are gulps not strikes, use braid to sense the sluggish pull, set the line and reel in your 1.5-2.5 bass all night long....or...or....or... don't catch anything but have a nice night out fishing works about 20% of the time for me.
