My first PCT

I'm currently in week 6, about to start week 7 of an 8 week test p and anavar cycle. I plan on starting PCT 3 days after my last injection.

1 My first question was should i extend my cycle to 9 weeks to make sure that I have enough test in my body to give a good presentation, not one where I lack confidence, depressed, etc (common symptoms of PCT, i think)

2 once im in PCT, how should i eat? High protein high carbs moderate fats at maintenance, or at a surplus?

3 How should i work out? not at all the first week? very lightly? heavy weight but less reps/sets? etc...

This is my opinion. Your should start the standard pct about 3 days after your last shot of prop. Im assuming you have this all lined up. As far as diet and training goes. I Would continue your diet as you are and continue training hard. The only thing is you may want to reduce your volume a bit so as to not overtrain. I personally try not to change my training on or off cycle, but listen to my body and adjust accordingly. Hope this helps.

But i was under the impression that you are extremely catabolic during the first weeks of PCT, if not the entire time... Would that be incorrect?

yes your body will be in a state of catabolism, but if you are eating enough food and still training properly you can cut down the amount of size lost significantly. you will lose size due to water weight being lost and that's where people freak out... oh shit i'm getting small again. just do what has been working for you and you should be fine as long as you can jump start you test production as soon as possible.

I think as long as your diet is in check and you are following the proper pct protocol you will be fine. Let's see what the others have to say. We are all learning together Smile

So let me get some clarification on a couple things first. You ran a test prop anavar cycle for 8 wks? How long have you been off and why do u feel you need to wait 8 wks before pct?

Well I wouldn't see an issue stretching this an extra week. I personally am not hung up on sticking to your gameplan to a T. I know that discipline is always a must but brother making money takes priority here.
Either way wait 3 days to be safe post last injection and run your pct. What's your pct?

As far as diet I was always told that just because you stop your cycle doesn't mean the work in the kitchen ever stops. What sort of diet are you following? Write it out for us of u don't mind.

Same concept for the gym brother. I do add more cable work and machines to isolate the muscle. I do also lower the weight slightly and focus more on technique. Quality over quantity for sure IMO. I know I'm missing stuff but I'm at dinner with the family. Let's let some of the others chime in and I'll be back a little later tonight.

For PCT I'm running Aromasin 12.5mg ED for the first 2 weeks, then 12.5 EOD for the next 2 weeks (or ill be splitting the pills, i just don't know how they will hold up). Im also going to be running clomid at 100/100/50/50 and Nolva at 40/40/20/20.

As far as diet goes, Im currently recomping/cutting and following Vikes plan of no carbs past 2pm, on workout days I eat around 2700 Calories a day, 169grams of carbs (from broccoli, red peppers, and a bagel or two in the morning to start me off), 92 grams of fat, and 309 grams of protein (from 2 whey shakes, 1 pre workout and 1 pre bed, chicken wings, and chicken thighs). On off days I get around 2200 calories and roughly the same amount of protein and fat, but only abour 60-70 carbs. I will increase my calories to maintenance once I start PCT however...
