i was diagnosed with a congenital malformation of the brain and skull. an injury exacerbated the malformation that i wasnt aware i had. I have chiari 1 malformation and syringomyelia. basically my brain is to big for my skull and it was being forced out the foramen magnum,( the hole at base of the skull at which the spinal chord enters) i had complete obsctruction, my cerebellar tonsils were over over and inch of descent (protruding from foramne magnum) the chiari caused a syrinx, for lack of technical explanation it is a cyst within the spinal chord which causes all the nerves around to become compressed within the vertebrea. the symtoms were awful. when i learned all the symptoms i has been symptomatic since a young child. the symptoms for both

blurred or double vision
tinitis (rining in the ear)
balance trouble, vertigo
loss of hearing
loss of sensation in extremities
loss of sensation to hot and cold (i get burned a lot, my own fault)
problems swallow
speach problems (slurred like a drunken idiot sometimes)
gagging
breathiing
sleep problems
severe apnea
change in voice
atrophy ( i suffered it more on my left side along with loss of sensation)
exagerate pain response, felt pain when there was none and didnt feel pain when i should
bowel and bladder issues
severe headache and neck pain
involuntary eye or body movements
loss of use of limbs

theres a few more but you get the point. I had what is called posterior fosa decompression and C1 lamenectomy and 2 vertebrea were fused in my neck. which basically is brain, spinal and neck surgery to correct it.

so here is where my journey began, before the surgery i couldnt really walk anymore, i couldnt really hold silver wear effectively or even write my own name anymore, this is a very misunderstood disease among the neuro community. so i was treated very dismissively. after more than 2 years of a down ward spiral i found a specialist and had my surgery. prior to the military and my health decline, i weighed in at a whopping 226lbs around 8% body fat, (i remember my abs were vascular) when i DEP'd in to the USMC obviously at 5'10" (i got shorted from scoliosis) i was to heavy for my height based on the height weight ratio and my neck was just hair shy of getting the pass. so after surgery i began my comeback, i weighed around 130-135 pounds, i started training again slowly. so after a year and some good solid weight back on i was still suffering some pain, the more active i got and more in shape i got the better i felt overall. so i began my first cycle after about 3 years i think, just a simple test c 250mg for 12 weeks, it was amazing at how much it improved me. seems like pain disapated, i began walking correctly again, because i had a lip and leg drag, with the added muscle i was more stable and had less balance issues. it even improved my sensory issues. from here out it was just about getting better. cycling now is about health, competition, and MMA. i was cleared by a neurologist and sports medicine doc to fight again, my license needed renewed and i just found out i have a small break in my cheek bone. i didnt even know it, so im on 6 month suspension or cleared.

ask away.. anything, ive cycled for just about everything there is to cycle for, i dont have the vets experience but i can at least give you my personal journies experience and how to approach some things.

this is amazing mwag.. I have had lots of discussions with guys about cycles not only to help with injuries but in association with truamatic brain injuries and neuro psych problems such as ptsd brought on by things such as serious car accidents. I have also had seveal closed head ijuries over my lifetime which have been linked to depression among other things and can tell you that running simple cycles is very effective in assisting with recovery. I m glad you are here ;-)

thank you, i really appreciate that, i shouldve added, one of the reasons for making the decision for TRT was because of PTSD. before i was on i had dealt with mental health issues for several reason, combat related PTSD and probably from the chiari, while i was on i felt no need for psychiatric meds, i actually felt more clear headed and didnt have "ANY" mental health issues. i will admantly say that the use of AAS for my mental health alone has been a life changer.

a really close friend of mine approached me tonight with his brother in law. his brother in law in 2006 suffered a catastrophic car accident. he broke all his ribs, his back, both legs, 1 ankle, both arms, and wrist and jaw. he started back lifting about a year ago, lightly and has been making great progress. he wanted advice from me for the "obvious reasons".
he has been struggling with pain and healing. he wants to start AAS to progress and heal. hes lean guy, 5'11" 175lbs. he had cycled in the past with test only and surprisingly he did it right. he now wants to do it a little more pain free and add some muscle. he knows my situation so he knows i can guide him.
thoughts are-
test and deca for 14 weeks, test at 500 a week split and deca 250 a week split. deca for the pain and joints. and adding in tb500 after he comes off running HGH for 6 months. he loves everything about what i explained to him. weve even considered adding in igf1-lr3 with the TB500 to better help with healing.

these are the kind of cycles i love helping people with. its not about being mr.O in the end just getting the body to its best and feeling the best. he has truly realistic goals. just to put better muscle on, be more active, with less pain and improve his nerve function through exercise.

Is it deca 250mgs split to 125mgs twice a week> Or a total of 500mgs a week split?

mwagner630's picture

125mg 2xweek, i shouldve been specific, at 500 i wouldve been buying him a breast pump hahaha

Hahaha that is good. I was going to say 500 a week wouldn't be bad if he had anti-prolactin meds. Personally for me I have had no problem running deca at an equal does with test. It is not the norm I know but I have been good all the way through no sides. I have so many past injuries and wounds I am a big NPP & Deca fan.

Now that right there is exactly what is needed here!! By the way being a vet in this realm has many definitions brother. This makes you the very kind of vet that this thread was created for. Like the esteemed Carlos said "keep posting!"

What a fucking story of honor. To come from that to now. There's honor in perseverance brother. I love reading all of your posts. You definitely have a great handle on AAS and OCT and PCT. Objective and confident all at the same time. Keep posting away brother. Gotta spread that shit and help as many as we can. I hope others see this post and get a real feeling of what this Group is all about.
Respect

What a health journey you had, man - pew! glad you made it and doing well now!

And I agree on that 100%:
"not about being mr.O in the end just getting the body to its best and feeling the best."

All the best
