Training Lagging Parts Twice per Week?

ad

Okay so I'm planning my third cycle.. Now I'm just forward thinking..

Bare in mind that I'll be on gear... (AAS and HGH) so recovery should be good.

Will it optimize growth if I train some body parts twice per week? Like the ones I want to improve on... For me this would mostly be chest. So could I train chest twice a week?

My current workout split is:

Legs
Chest
Back
Rest
Shoulders
Arms
Rest

So can I hit chest again with this routine, or would I be over training!? Also feel free to recommend another training split to optimize growth.

Thanks.

If you can add reps or pounds...your muscles are ready. to train again. you could close grip bench on arms day ....hit chest twice a week but use different exersizes....hit different musle fibers upper and lower chest..

You could also hit chest twice more in a month span, so 6 times a month. All my body parts get hit this way. It's a good balance of growth and recovery/

Being on growth and aas, I wanted bigger traps, I hit em every other day, worked like a charm. You'll be fine hitting chest 2x week

yes, because those are part of the SMALLER muscle group; Smaller muscle groups can and should be worked out 2 times a week or more, large groups should not be. Chest is part of the major group and should not be worked out more then 2 times a week, but to each his own and everyone reacts to weights differently and depends on your goals.

Thanks everyone.

So would I be okay with something like this.

Legs
Chest / Traps
Back
Rest
Shoulders / traps
Arms / Some diff chest excesses (close grip bench. Dips etc) as this it's arms too
Rest

That's 5 in 2 days rest. I can train 6 days a week, but I think it's best to have 2 days rest right?

Of course the above I want to improve chest and traps

Maybe do your lats same day as your back or even shoulders? 6 days a week in the gym is overtraining. You need time off even on AAS.

I didn't tell him to do chest every other day....I said chest would be fine to do 2x a week

Your body needs a full 48 hours rest between muscle groups you work out. Some people do an additional body part later in the week, I find when I do that I end up pulling a muscle instead of working it out so it depends but the rule of thumb is no. If you worked it enough on the day you were training there is no need to overtrain it.
