do bands help with deffinition? seems like they would
You can definitely get a good workout, get great pumps and even gain some size if you hit them hard enough. I used them quite a bit when I was injured just because I was afraid of lifting heavy and they absolutely can give you a good workout and it's a good way to switch up your routine and really concentrate on strict form and higher reps. Sick pumps for real.
It's not ideal obviously but it gets the job done.
Walmart has started to carry the heavy duty rubberband style. I picked one up (blue) 2'' thickness, to assist with my pull ups. They're awesome. Not bad pice either. Several colors according to resistance.
sgtstedankoThere as effective as you make them brother. They can be. If you're intensity is there, so's the workout. I don't know how heavy yours are. I would look into investing in a trx pro pack. That kicks my ass, Everytime. It'll change your life. Also, maybe a jump rope (w/weighted handles. & bas rutten has an mma workout on cd, that you can download to your ipod, etc. It would be a really good shadow boxing routine (w/weighted gloves)... If there's a better routine out there, somebody let me know. Please. Oh, & p90x road warrior. I've got some decent workouts in my training forum post (best). If you'd want to sift through it till the pre cycle pt, might help change things up.

You looked at "The Predator" workout on Youtube?
sgtstedankoNope. I haven't. Not much of a YouTube guy.

Do you, or have you used TRX on cycle? I've been using TRX for years--quite doing weights several years ago. I can go back to them when I'm home, but TRX travels with me, sets up everywhere and, as you said, you get out of it what you put in to it. That said--I don't know what I'm going to do yet vis-a-vis the purpose of these forums, I've got to get my T level checked (when I pass thru Thailand) and am looking at TRT options with a little extra (Langniappe, we call it in Louisiana) since I'm into kayak racing, running for health and core fitness-- (I'm 44 btw).
At any rate--most of my knowledge as is comes from "Anabolics" and reading a bit more here.
Thanks for the words on TRX.
