Does anyone have any advise on how to balance my traps?. My left trap is very small copared to my right. I am right handed if that helps. maybe I just find it more difficult to tense my left trap.

WithdrawlWatch and make sure you aren't bending one arm more than the other during shrugs or deadlifts. Neither arm should bend at all. One side might be using the bicep more to get the weight up instead of just using the trap. Also, check your placement of each shoulder. Make sure each shoulder is held in the same spot during the lift. Sometimes people will roll one shoulder forward when the weight gets heavy and their form starts to lack. Also, make a conscious effort to use your left hand to unload weight plates. If you're always loading and unloading 45 lb plates with your right hand you can create an imbalance.
just shrugs, bent over rows, upright row etc. maybe in the past i have been using my right trap to help lifts on right arm. I have just started doing deadlifts due to a bad back and switch my grip and use reverse grip.
What excersizes are you doing for your traps?
And what about your grip on your deadlift?
