Chest on Hammer Strength ( iso-lateral wide ) Plate loaded
So, my regular chest routine consist of mainly Barbell, and dumbell from all angles and always starting with weak points. and they're currently superseted with back exercises.
For some reason 3 DAYS AGO, maybe boredom I guess I decided to get on that Hammer Machine that I haven't used at full strength in a while. It was the iso-lateral wide. I gave it 110% just as I like to think I do with most, but holy crap! 3 days out and still feeling that chest workout, this is awsome.
Guess it's just a little reminder of how every now and than it's good to just break it up, and just do something different for that day.
With the particular action and controled movement the machine offers, I think it's a great alternative to Dumbell Presses. A couple weeks back I injured my wrist on Hang and Cleans and I had issues carrying any weight over 80 pounds in my left hand. The Hammer Machines were able to make up for the dumbbell defficiency, and took a lot of the pre-positioning stress away from my wrist when preparing for a set.

Those are good machines! I love'em! If you look at the videos of the pro bodybuilders working out, they are always hitting the Hammer Strength machines.
Yeah bro it's always good to switch it up. Try not to get married into the same routine. Try and keep those muscles guessing.
Couldn't agree more. Change is good but I still hit the core exercises (bench, squat, dead, low row, and mil press) regularly.
Hit a PR on that exact machine the other day, 4 45's and a quarter each side. Best I've ever done.
Oh, and I agree on the try no to get married part too. Stay single until you're old.
Lol stay single both inside and outside of the gym, I like that.
