DUCK

ad

So I just cooked a duck, and not only is it cheaper pound for pound than turkey, but IMO it tastes better, I thought duck had more protein content, but turkey and chicken still lead on that aspect. I just thought Id share a good idea if you guys are getting bored with your basic chicken/turkey meals. Enjoy!

I bought a wok for xmas this year. I am -burnt- on grilled chicken thighs. I get a turkey about
1-2 times a month (15-20lbs) and buzz thru that. I buy my chicken thighs in 40 lb boxes. Bring them
home and pack them up for the freezer in smaller bags. Im going to pick up 40'lbs of jumbo chicken wings the start
of next week... Duck is easy to make, and mighty tasty.. a little bony tho.

Midwest fare sucks.. not enough choices..

I tried to smoke one last night.... I had to put 3 blunt wraps together to fit it in there... The damn thing wouldn't stay lit... Any pointers?

Love duck to bad it's so high in fat :( I wouldn't consider it a reg source of protein but it make for a good nutritious cheat meal.

I wish we had a good meat market around here that sold game. Duck is my favorite bird. A good cheat meal is to fry it in small strips with some flour and cajun seasoning. I gotta get something to eat I'm hungry now.
