Boring ass boiled shredded chicken
ad
So, I was wondering what everyone does or is it just me...boring boiled chicken gets old after a while, but we need it for gains!!!! What are some creative ways to get some flavor in there? I usually put some BBQ sauce on there and call it a day with my rice on the side and a sweet potato. Any good recipes out there from you guys?

Blackened, mahi-mahi, brown rice, and roasted green beans. Excellent source of very lean approaching and low G.I. carbs. The only time is a no go is if you are in contest prep mode or intentionally trying to limit sodium in which case I would drop the blackening and just pan see it.
That looks good and I'm not even big on eating fish
I’ve learned to love it over the years just to add some variety to the lean protein sources in my diet. If you like spicy(ish) foods you should look into recipes for blackening fish. Mahi is a little expensive to eat more than 1-2x per week but there are a ton of other good options there are lower cost. Unfortunate and live right on the Atlantic coast, so I am able to buy my seafood pretty much fresh off the boat.
I'm going to give it a try. When it comes to seafood I'm like 90% shrimp.
I put hot sauce on everything.
AK80Put some chicken breast in a crock pot with 2 cans of cream of mushroom soup. Chicken broth, water and rice in there with it and some cayenne pepper.
i commend you guys for sticking to those boring shitty diets. i cant do it. i still eat a boring meal sometimes but i have a little high sodium diet if i must say. i still get my chicken, alot of times its either fried or cooked in a pan with butter and my rice and carbs but i have to use seasonings and i eat flavored oatmeal. if i get high blood pressure later in life big pharma got my back
Crystal Hot Sauce. Clean, flavorful heat. Frank's is tasty, too, but it's got a few undesirable ingredients.. and as much hot sauce as I use, it's best I avoid them.
I guess I'm just used to it it's not actually that bad to me lol! I was just looking for some other suggestions for meal prep. I always am greatful for being able to do bodybuilding and I think about people that have no food at all and this would be a luxury to them.
Throw that chicken in a croc pot with some seasoning. The only time i boil chicken is when the dog has an upset stomach.
At that point I rather just eat protein powder without water
This had me laugh out loud
Boiled…? Dude? Are you wanting to torture yourself? Boiled chicken is DISGUSTING imo. Unless shredded in some lbs of cheese, rice, or pasta LOL! Grill it, smoke it, air fry, bake, sous vide, sauce, broil, and HELL really ANYTHING to add firmness and flavor! All of these methods will not add any more cals than boiling unless you use cooking oil that gets absorbed is guaranteed less calories than whatever BBQ sauce you have to slather those fetuses in.
Jesus man. I thought my grilled chicken/steamed rice was bad.
Truly no hate at all dude… just stop subjecting yourself to that lol! So many easier, quicker, and TASTIER ways!
Sometimes it’s just easier to boil it lol. When I’m on the last stretch of my cut getting in the 5% body fat range I just sit there and eat plain, boiled chicken on top of plain roasted acorn squash. I can do that for about 4 weeks straight before willpower would crack.
Glute striations require suffering.
Do you pop halo leading up to contest ? And if you did/do how well does that compound work for those last couple days when you’re training on NOTHING
I don’t compete. I get down to that body fat for just shits and giggles. But yes they do pop halo before contests
Boiled yes. 3lbs a week minimun when pushing hard. Dippin sauce bro. I carry the lil sauce holders from tupperware etc. Mustard, bbq, hot sauce, etc etc. Shred it and mix with rice or salad with lemon squeeze over top. Shredded with beans and cheese in tortilla etc. Just gotta get creative.
Fast snack....tuna in water. Squeeze out water and add hotsauce. Scoop it with low salt wheat thins. Honkey sushi. Lol!
I do a small white onion and yellow mustard with tuna. It’s a great quick lunch.
@press1 @DeeMan @SeeOhShow what did I do to this poor turkey last night? I woke up and half of it was gone,
I wonder if I fucked it in an ambien induced blackout ?!
O.o
Aye I hear Ducks and Turkeys don't really get along.
Damn that looks crazy!
LMFAO I took one look at that and asked myself the same question, he has been Fuckin Dat TURKEY!!!! Ya Turkey Fucker
Turkey fucking duck?
What the fuck is going on though, all this dry ass white meat I’m using the mayonnaise fuck it
Been using zinc every dinner meal to build up my mayonnaise deposits
I use marinated boneless chicken thighs in air fryer. I can do about 1.5lbs a day... also work from home so I get fresh daily.
Why the fuck would you boil chicken? Grill, sous vide, bake, panfry or saute - literally any other means will yield much better texture and flavor and even adding a little bit of cooking oil will have less calories than adding sugary bbq sauce afterwards.
There's so many healthy meal prep YouTube channels out there. I meal prep twice a week and have 14ish staple go-tos plus I pick something from one of those channels to mix it up occasionally. Even if the macros don't match exactly, it's simple enough to make a few tweaks to get it to where you need. And unless you're in prep, you can certainly afford a couple extra calories in the name of sustainability and enjoyment.
Right man I didn’t want my comment to come off as rude, but I can’t even stomach boiled chicken. This shocked me that people legitimately cook chicken by boiling it. I thought my daily grilling a breast with some steamed rice was too basic/bad!
i prefer it grilled
