Shouldn't really matter if in a wheelchair or not. Look at your bodyweight. You still have a base metabolic rate that you need to maintain to keep those cells alive so your base metabolic rate shouldn't change much and unless you are bid ridden and don't move at all you are still going to have to account for your activity level. 900 cals/day will surely have you losing weight with a good chunk of it being muscle which in turn is going to damage your metabolism. Use a TDEE calculator and adjust cals from that to guide your weight loss. If you are in reasonable shape, usually dropping 500 cals below your TDEE will have you dropping a pound or two per week. If you are dropping more than that adjust cals up a bit and vice versa. Everybody's metabolism is different so if you keep track of cals you should be able to dial it in with a few weeks.

Hey, no way. Even if you can't move your lower body due to cord injury, your cells still respire, perform housekeeping functions and are alive just as any other cell. Your BMR still is about 2000kcal at 225lbs. Activity levels usually are way overblown as to caloric requirements. If you are using your arms alot, what I assume you do and do some weightlifting on top, I guess you'd need about 2500kcal, so if you wanna lose weight I'd first drop down to 2000, than potentially even down to 1700 as your BMR adapts, but this should be the absolute lowest you go.. imho at least
Ty very interesting
These are the questions that are great for eroids we have been getting a lot of crap questions from noobs lately I'll be watching This thread
Hello Sir,
Calorie intake is very personal of course but 900 calories a day does not sound right at all, sounds more like a breakfast.
Is diet Guru your coach ?
Regards
Diet guru ?
A diet speacilist adviced me to stay to that amount to loss weight . Seemed a bit less and makes you very tired .
Do people in chairs need as much cals as a able bodied ,yes fitness level etc would always be a factor
send me a pm I can direct you to a guy who has 2 wheel chair clients and versed in it.
basskiller89The true way to find your correct metabolic rate is to test it brother
Keep sodium and water intake the same, and at the same time for a week. In addition, eat the same thing and at the same times for a week. Based upon the numbers of your weigh in each morning, you should be able to pretty accurately piece together your own metabolic rate. After that no need to torture yourself and keep salts, water and food the same because you'll know where you're at
Well 900 calories for anyone is crazy. I don’t know the answer but try reading up on this thread.
