Prescribed amphetamines for weight loss?

Narcolepsy and ADHD meds specifically.
How effective are they at weight loss? I take them here and there and notice high appetite suppression but other than that, does it raise your BMR enough to work as an effective weight loss substance? Also, how catabolic is it to muscle tissue (if under eating due to appetite suppression wasn't a factor).

I have never had any appetite problems with Vyvnase. I can still eat while on that. I can also still have a good sex life and make my little engine cross the finish line too. : ) Adderall totally killed my appetite, my libido, and gave me a case of jitters like I have never experience. I didn’t get jitters, flutters or anxiety on Vyvnase. I think Vyvnase is a much cleaner stim. (a bit weaker too but you get more in the trade off)
Thing with trying to lose weight by suppressing your appetite is that you never get enough calories in this case to maintain your muscle mass. So you basically end up “skinny fat”.

such as Adderall and the likes? Adderall (more specifically Vyvance) will KILL appetite. Thats the only effective way it can cut weight that I can think of. I dont think it specifically had a direct effect on adipose tissue. I could be wrong though.
