eating clean vs getting extra calories, opinions please.

my question is if you are on cycle and your trying to bulk is it really that bad to not eat "clean"
i have a really hard time getting a lot of calories and if i didnt worry about eating clean it would be more manageable. so is it better to get the calories without eating clean or eat clean and not get as much and why? eating clean is healthier i know and help keep BF down, but ive talked to bodybuilders who compete and said eat the damn cheesburger, u need the calories...ive read a lot of mixed reviews on this. any opinions would be great thanks everyone.

The question you have to ask youself is "what type of big do I want?" do you want lean big or fat big. Ultamatly you are going to gain some fat on a "clean bulk diet" but not near as much as eating dirty. On top of gaing more fat with a dirty diet your body itself will feel like crap. Your body can tell when you put junk in it. Stick to a clean diet if possible. Not to mention how much harder it will be to cut back down. You will thank your self when it comes time to shread up. Well its proven that it doesnt really matter what you eat as long as you eat you're daily required macros. You can even cut weight while eating icecream every day + pizza if you wanted to, as long if you dont exceed you're daily macros.

I tried it as well and its true. The only problem with this is. You get bloated more easily which will make you look horrible and higher in BF. Its harder to track the macros since "not so clean" food seem to be packed with a lot carbs and fats compared to the protein it contains. Like eating ONLY 1 normal sized brownie contains around 400-500 calories, 50-75 carbs, 20+ fat and only 6,5 g proteins. Lets say you're cutting at 2300 calories and 150 carbs a day that means a brownie already contains 1/5 of your daily calories and 1/3 to 1/2 of you're daily carbs. Lol ridiculous.

Obviously it effect you're body in some bad way which might not show on the outside of your body if you know what I mean. That why I like eating 95 pct clean most of the time.

Mate if you are on a cycle you are already taking chemicals that play around with your LDL and HDl levels. Why would you want to go and eat crap that will only help this imbalance. I am a believer that you eat clean and stay lean. Look at it like this. Food is fuel for your body. If you put bad fuel in your car it won't run properly it's the same with your body. I don't believe in calling it a bulk up cycle I rather call it sizing up. There are other ways of getting calories into your body. Why eat fatty food then when your done with your bulk cycle you then have to strip the weight. Man there are so many factors that I could go into as to why I prefer to stay lean.
